With Calm with Horses celebrating its world premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, director Nick Rowland and stars Cosmo Jarvis, Niamh Algar and Barry Keoghan came by the Collider Lounge to talk about their experience making the film. Cosmo! I'm watching you on FX's Shogun. I cannot wrap my head around the guy sitting on the couch doing a presser, and how you present yourself like someone who just lost their best friend...whilst sitting in court as a defendant and knowing the jury is about to convict you. In Shogun you're so animated, talented, gregarious, charismatic, and compelling as a character/actor. You truly anchor the series (no pun intended w/ you playing a pilot on a naval vessel).

Have to say that one of the best movies from UK I've ever seen, the details, the motions ... Nick is definitely one of the young director who reminds me about Ken Loach! And love Barry, Cosmo and Niamh

Unsure if he struggles heavily from social anxiety or is possibly slightly autistic. Super bright guy though and incredible actor, deserves more recognition and more casting opportunities. Great to see talented actors aren’t all the usual extroverts you see on interviews

@@rojafx I think it's just interviews. He's fine larking about with other actors, and I've heard him on a couple of podcasts and he's relaxed, highly articulate and intelligent. Calm With Horses is one of my all-time Top-10 movies BTW.
