My girl just turned 2 today and she is always amped up first thing in the morning to go outside. My neighbors dogs like to pester her when she's outside and it amps her up even more. After calling her back in she is still so hyper and its frustrating. But she is a good girl but just doesn't know how to relax... your video is more informative and helpful than others I have watched. 🙂

Excellent video. Thanks Charles. I’ve been using a hand signal (slow sweeping fan hand in front of his face) and saying calmly “sweet dog” since we got Jackson at 4 months. He gets rewarded with affection as he calms. At 10 months is still challenging to him at times. I’m going to add “calm”. I like that.

She beautiful. Thanks for sharing GSM. She reminds me of my Isoke when I first got her at 4 months. She had sent a great of time in a crate with no training. When I first met her to take her home she came running out of the crate and went chasing after the children in a manner similar to Rachel’s. My thought was I will have to retrain that behavior. Your video and training methods remind us human beings that our pups are doing what we trained (or without training) them to do. Love seeing all the girls out🥰

Love your videos....thank you for another great example of calm control. We have our now 16mth old boy who is DDR working lines.....whooo! He is full of drive and strong willed. Would love you to do another system for the next stage, after puppyhood! We are in full adolescent swing with him right now and having to go back to basics and make firm corrections. He was getting bratty and pushy and as he is intact, full of vim and vigour too. it is working well now and he is calming back down and he ‘works’ for everything at the moment. Working line shepherds are another level that’s for sure! Stay safe and well and thanks again for a great video 🥰👍🥰

You are so right Charles. Having the right energy round dogs is one of the most important things. There is a new Black GSD round my area and she is afraid of being outside and barks all the time. Sadly the owners are praising, comforting her for this. That will only reinforce it and make it worse. I have had a chat with them about corrections and no affection until quiet. They are using a purely positive trainer so the poor dog has no chance of a fulfilled life to be honest. Great to see you looking well. Thanks to all at GSM Land : )

Just the vedio I needed from you Mr.GSM. I have 13 weeks old German shepherd puppy. Leo is jumping all over my 3 year old daughter and scratching her. Only had him for a week today.. I'm working with him on jumping and its getting alot better..

We're older and I'm the care-taker of all. I rescued black gsd Charly (female) 3 plus weeks ago. She turned out to be a rescue covered in fleas, mange, kennel soars bleeding and urine burns. Even hookworms. She'd cry scratching n itching. Who could sit still. Local VCA now has her medically doing great! Who could sit still? She's a wild child. She needs to settle down. Please tell me more. She pounces. I keep a collar n leash on her and she follows me as I do chores outside and in. I can't get her to calm. I can be all but asleep snd she still jerks and runs. I personally need her. I've been working on the sit, lay, stay and house breaking. That's good. We got her 3 weeks ago. She's now 3 months and 3 days. I can't get a trainer. I'll keep watching you. I have a 7 month old GS and he is BIG. I'm not sure if I'm over feeding him or if he just has big genes. He's not out of shape because I like to workout and I take him to the park. He also gets super excited in the Cage when I get home and my wife has taught him to sit and calm down while she opens the cage then she says stay, opens the cage, then gives the command ok go. And he goes lol.

😍😍your videous are so so good!! i watched a lot of dog training videos, but yours.. yours are the best! you really know how to explain everything and I really like when, in your training videos it isn't everything perfect and sometimes you just train a dog without any other training before to start to record the video. I admire u ❤

Isn't there a command for " four feet on the ground " ? Projecting calm is in the voice and body movements for sure. Smart dog picks up on your desires through that approach to management. I have to use it in the morning when going down the stairs in early a.m. Otherwise my girl booms out and leaps down the stairs. Not good even for athletic 2 1/2 yo. ........ 7 month old Rachael seems to have missed out on some important early puppy training but she is indeed a terrific appearing specimen. 👍

Hi German Shepherd Man, I just came across one of your very first videos with Rachel. Star and Loni are like "Come on Dad! Let us out again!" Seargant is in the background like "Hey Dad! When do I get out?" Rachel is like "Really? Really? I get to get out? YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! Awwww man, I have to do 4 on the floor? Okay........sigh"

I have a 10 month old German Shepherd cross Foster dog. Not sure what the cross is but the previous owner said Husky. She was abused and they admitted that. She is very reactive to small children. My 4 1/2 year old granddaughter cannot even come into the house without her growling at her. I have to put the dog outside so my granddaughter is safe. She will not let anybody touch her or even come near her without growling and then frantically bark at them. On walks she is starting to get use to people and is show signs of being curious about them but they cannot come near her. If they pay no attention to her she will start to relax and sit or lay down when we are having a conversation. She was terrified of other dogs but we managed to concur that and now she wants to play with dogs that are the same size as her or smaller. She is only 50 lbs. she is a very sweet dog with me and my husband but that’s is. I need some advice/ tips on what I can do to help her overcome her fear and aggression. I have had her for 4 months and the only thing that has changed is she is not fearful of other dogs anymore.
