In this video, I am painting an illustrative palo verde (parkinsonia florida) in bloom. The Sonoran Desert, where I reside, holds so much beauty, especially in the spring. The blooms have now faded away with our increased heat of the summer, but I get so excited to see them every year.
I am using Winsor & Newton gouaches on watercolor paper.
I hope to make this into prints in the future!
