This was presented very well and respect was maintained. That is important. Always respect the dead. I only hope that most who are buried here have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. Our eternal destiny is more important than how and where we are interred.

Amy: this is a Catholic cemetery and the Catholic Church is the Church Christ established. If these descendants were faithful to their faith, then their eternal rest is assured. Simply accepting Jesus as savior does not guarantee salvation. Scripture makes that clear.

This mausoleum is beautiful. Love the inscription above : John 11: 25 And Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life, he who believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. The architecture of Ross Montgomery is amazing. That stained glass & frescos on the ceiling are gorgeous. The picture of The Sacred Heart of Jesus , and the beautiful glow the Stained glass provides when sun shines through, is peaceful. The sculpture of the cruxifiction above the altar is also beautiful. I like the sound effect of the film going through the old projector that you used , nice touch for those buried here. The Barrymores, old film stars of the 20s and beyond. The history you provide is wonderful about all these people that rest at Calvary the beauty of this place just puts me in awe. God bless Bud and Lou for what they did for others although Bud had the heartache of losing his son. Bud has given the world such joy and laughter through the years they both did. sad The history behind all these stars,, the story of Mabel Normand sad . Marie Dressler, I loved her acting and movies. she was a character ! Dinner at 8 was a great movie. Sweet Irene Dunn. Most of these people has had tradgic ends. Thanks for another great walk ,you are the best. The background you provide is exceptional.I love ❤your channel , and the respect you have and show for the dearly departed. I will watch your video about Ned Doheny on the link you've provided. Like you said So many lives, so many stories.

That was so beautiful....your voice is very soothing, and the choice of music just right...all very respectfully done. I live in England, so doubt I will ever get the chance to visit here, now I am almost 70, but being taken on a tour like this by you, and all the very interesting stories you relate makes me feel as if I am right there with you. For which, my grateful thanks. I look forward to watching more of your really excellent videos like this. Thankyou so much. Warm regards, Helen in England. 🙋‍♀️🎄😘

Thank you for this video! I found the part about Lou Costello particularly interesting. I grew up in Boyle Heights and lived right across the street from the Lou Costello Recreational Center, located at Olympic and Dakotah Streets. (I lived on Sussex Lane directly across the street), and received my first swimming lessons there. Lou Costello made sure that swimming lessons were free to whomever wanted them. I think that to this day, there is still a big oil painting of Mr Costello inside the gym. If I'd known at the time where he was buried, my family and I could have gone to Calvary to pay our respects. Thank you again for this video!

I was just there a couple of weeks ago. Me and my wife wanted to see the great mausoleum but there were signs outside that said filming in progress so we figured we couldn’t get in. So we just drove around exploring all the old beautiful tomb stones throughout the grounds. Great work on this video. Can’t wait for the next one.

You certainly have a very rare ability in your videos. One great issue is that you present a great deal of information about the former people involved. If most of the general public were to visit these places,we would just see names and dates. This would mean nothing if the related stories about the people involved were unknown (which is normally true). Thank you for taking the time to make all of your great videos.

It's a nice narration, which comes to my mind the unknown as general as secretive in a big city, such as Los Angeles CA, no wonder we living creatures look as zombies, constructives and destructives, the dead are no problem, the living ones are the ones we should worry about. In short: we're all in this together, let's take care and watch out for each other . Amén!

A nice guy. I don't know why before my time I was born in 1950 but I was drawn to Lionel Barrymore every time I would see something about him I would read up and or watch about his life it would be wonderful to have one of his paintings just an eerie feeling about that man. Linda Lorraine Fijak Kelly Higden. Born in Dearborn Michigan. 1950. I am now 71 yrs of age. Living in Florida. Ocala Fl. Hoping to move back to Mich for my final yrs. Little money. Its a dream. Like always, great research and presentation. Those angle shots are very difficult, I never seen shoots from relexing marble. I'm going to watch this video several more times.

Growing up as a child I lived right across on Downey road. Used to hear the bells sounding every day and the organ playing

This is my third time watching this video. Your presentation is respectful and elegant. Some of your shots in this beautiful place are breathtaking. You are the best of this genre. I assume you are some sort of professional film maker, editor, historian, narrator or photographer, you do it all, keep up the excellent work.

I've been watching another channel which shows famous & not so famous graves, niches & crypts but with your stories there's alot more details which is very interesting. Im bingeing out on your channel tbh. I use to own a book called Hollywood Babylon which tells of many salacious tales of Hollywood.
