Calvin has the BEST pocket out of all the other drummers I have seen on YT, this is probably why he has gotten so many gigs and able to play with so many people not just in the Gospel arena but with secular artist as well. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Calvin will always be my favourite drummer especially in Gospel music. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The parts that they aren't hyped about Calvin's pocket need to be learned the most. Drummers: Your pocket gets you employed, not the ghost licks or rudiments. Learn how to play in the pocket, please.

I look at people being amazed with my gift as a opportunity to minister to them. It never fails, whenever God moves in a mighty way through my worship & praise to him as a bass player, I am always approached by people telling me how good I am. I share with them my testimony on how God has molded me to be a MINISTER of music, not just a musician. There is a BIG difference. A seed is planted for upcoming musicians to play wholeheartedly for Christ instead of the camera.

@phatyg77 Amen, I've been a Church/Band musician for a while now, Everytime the Worship team goes on, people think we do it for show, I am praising God with my abilities, and yes, sometimes as humans we get excited, but It annoys how the whole service/worship is done with cellphones up or cameras recording. Praise the Lord, not us.
@DrewskieTv12 жыл бұрын
If it wasnt for these people recording at this event. we wouldnt be watchin this video. This was a musical so nobody is tripping over recording This is how some musicians get inspired to get better and Calvin is like every bodies hero right now. Moments like this NEED TO BE RECORDED
@BBT60911 жыл бұрын
I understand the whole thing of "praise the Lord, not us" and all that. Understandable, but what are the CHANCES of getting stuff like this? I do see cameras n all but did this ever come to DVD? I actually learn from these type of videos. God given talent Calvin has!

Agreed, however different people do it for different reason. drumming is my ministry and when I do something like this(recording during service) its because I need the inspiration and added skills so I can sharpen my ministry. Pastors sit and watch other pastors preach, singers watch others singers. I am just saying, IN MY OPINION thats why I do it

@phatyg77 I'm a musician myself so I know how it is. But God is always the focus and 2 Kings 3:15 is always evident when I play. But at the same time there's nothing wrong with enjoying what you do. You can worship God without looking so zoned out and "deep" all of the time.

Hey when something sounds good and blends with what your ear is looking for brands of equipment don't matter. Do you see other keyboardist tripping over what boards that don't match their Korg,Roland or Yamaha? Nope...they use those boards because of the patches in there for different reasons.

I think its Amazing that we pass so much Judgement about everything. This is a midnight musical not necessarily a service. People only go to these because they have Major artists performing. This is more like christian entertainment IMO & there's nothing wrong with people being excited about seeing and hearing ppl they don't get a chance to be around often. Ask yourself why ur on youtube is it 2 see the very thing that ur judging? I would say so. Why get autographs & Keepsakes? ins

@phatyg77 I understand what you're saying but you gotta remember the culture of COGIC. Its a denomination with a lot of traditional and well known theatrics. When you think about it that way you wouldn't be so quick to judge. Because that's exactly what you're doing. I'm not apart of COGIC myself but I know people and have friends who are. Another thing is that this isn't a typical worship service, its a musical. Musicians will crowd around the instruments, that's never gonna change.

@DrewskieTv Musical or not, we are praising to the Lord, I think cameras should be turned off, decides there will be someone filming this with higher quality from the church; I'm sure of it because this size of church does it probably every service. I'm not offending you, Im just saying this because we want to give glory to God but if we get the Glory, then whats the point of praising to GOD.
@DrewskieTv12 жыл бұрын
@haejin2020 agreed to disagree. this isnt the type of song anybody would be going into deep worship unless it really hit home. I understand where you are coming from though.

calm down why.its the truth.be honest how hard is it(if your a musican) to enter into worship when your not playing.you have to be intetional more than others, because your to you doing the leading. i go through just like everybody else. ots fine to listen and pick up on stuff, but fir the whole praise and worship session naw bro not helping your inner man out. so you can calm up.lol
