The back story on the song:
Sleight of Hand was recorded in 432hz and is just two chords. I envisioned a landscape-style song, a meditative strum, backed by my whispy 12, a far-out ride cymbal, Space Echo Clarinets, LSD ghost guitar, and the butter Hofner keeping steady. I spent time at a cabin in the rocky mountains last year and while I was there I found old newspapers/Magazines from the 70s/80s, I flipped through the headlines and read stories of corporate take over, climate change, wealth inequality, deforestation, police brutality, and neoliberalism disguised by glossy consumer ads. Shiny new but rotten underneath.
My collaborator and I chopped up the words into a collage of conscious flow and mixed it around with some observational one-liners into a crossword collage style
