No one has a problem with a player overcoming adversity. The difference is, Geno Smith accepted his role as a backup, kept his mouth shut, kept studying, kept learning the position and when he got another shot at starting, he won CBPOY. Cam hasn't done a thing. To top it off, he makes a video ripping other QBs that are playing right now. Guess what, they're playing.....and Cam isn't!! Humble yourself.

AS a life long panther fan I can tell you Geno has not taken the beating Cam has. Cam has had his career beat out of him by defenses. He has had concussions beyond belief, and countless arm and leg injuries. He is not the same guy anymore.

I hope Cam finds a spot somewhere. It's hard to judge him from his time in NE or his return to Carolina. He hasn't really had a full offseason since his last full season with Carolina. I think he could probably still start somewhere, but I'd hate to see him go into another bad situation. Who knows what might happen, but I'm rooting for the guy.

Shannon has valid points but u also have to remember Cam hasnt had a full offseason since 2018, with the patriots and panthers over the recent years cam showed flashes of his old self with throwing but it was clear that he didn't have enough time to learn the playbooks. That's it, really. And that's the future for any QB that doesn't figure that out by their 6th-7th year in the league. QBs don't take hits like they used to, so it benefits them to become elite passers who only scramble when necessary. Mahomes is the prototype of that style of play. But your career lifespan is short if you play like RB and don't become an elite passer. Lamar Jackson and even Josh Allen should remember this if they want to play well into their late 30s.

Cam was winning a few games in college; when he came back against Saint Nick's defense and won after being down what I remember to be three (3) touchdowns, everyone knew who Cam Newton was then. He had some good years in Carolina and was getting to the playoffs, but this is a team sport.

Ppl like Shannon Sharpe stuck in 2015.... I don't trust ppl like yall. 2017 the dude had a good year. 2018 before he got his shoulder broken he was having a better year than his MVP year. 2020 was having a good year til covid and that coming to a team a few days before training camp so he rarely got to have a TRUE OFFSEASON. Cam gets a rightful Offseason with Mini Camp and Training Camp OTAs the dude still got it. Teams are afraid of picking him up because CAM IS A BIG ATTRACTION BRAND

Cam has a point. I do believe he is better than a few starting qb's in the nfl....HOWEVER...he needs to realize that no owner wants their starting franchise qb dressing like a side show freak. It's his off the field antics that haven't got him another nfl job. You can disagree all you want.....but this is reality.

One thing about sports is its always opinions and speculation u can lean on how a player looked the last time they played but in actuality u really don't know how a player is going to respond.. they can come out and u say I knew they'd be terrible or it's a chance u can say I didn't see this coming he really bounced back and looks great so hey who knows 🤷🏿‍♂️

Bruh what? The Panthers were 11-5 and lost on a lost second failed Hail Mary in 2017 wildcard. In 2018 they were 6-3 until TJ Watt blasted his shoulder and messed Carolina’s season up. 2019 he had the Lisfranc ankle injury. 2020 he joined NE with weeks before the season and still took a roster with Jakobi Meyers, Rex Burkhead and Damiere Byrd as his top weapons (Edelman was hurt) to a 7-8 record. 2021 he signed in WEEK 11 to Carolina before actually winning that IM BACK Arizona game 34-10 with 3TDs and played well against Washington the next week but the defense collapsed the entire rest of the season and offensive line ranked in the bottom 5. He sat out all 2022 and he is now 100 healthy and the timing now would really be a true honest test to see if SuperCam is done or not in a fair shake.
