Except for Singapore, SE Asia countries are generally much cheaper to live compared to the west. Being #2 is not a big deal… I need at least $5,000/ month for US just the basics no frills or vacation…

That's true. I think Bangkok or HCMC would have to be more expensive. Actually, Yangon wasn't cheap when we were there, but that was a while ago now.

PP is still much lower than US cost of living... 1 BR Apartment is $2000 per month... Bowl of pho soup is $20...

Let's not compare because the locals are suffering. The income of foreigners vs locals is quite different 😂

Lived in Bangkok with my Thai wife in 22 and 23. Two bedroom $130usd/month. I was quite happy living like a Thai . Could walk to a nice mall ( the Mall Bangkapi ) , Ramkhamhaeng night market , and Bangkapi market ( it’s huge.) Trip to Sukhumvit was maybe $2-3 usd. These ratings are bunk. Everyone is different . I’d prob pick Battambang if I lived in Cambodia

Hard to believe that PP is that expensive. I know a Canadian guy who has lived in PP for 15 years on 10 dollars a day. We flew to Shihanoukville from SR in 2019 before Covid. Nice ride, such old temples. Keep well.

Wow! Never imagined Phnom Penh rating so high on the list. I use NOMADLIST whenever I want to get an estimate of the COL. They claim an expat can live in PP for less than $1,000USD a month. 🤔

I totally agree that cambodia is the most expensive in the world because salary here is only $200 a month. Street food is about $5 on average while it's only $3 in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh and Manila. @@petern2242

Hopefully that guy will serve his jail time for his crime. Who knows! We usually stayed at Borey Peng Huot with my sister when we visited the country. It's very beautiful and peaceful gated community with everything we ever needed if we don't want to get out to PP. Great moto-news updates as always by For-Riel$. Peace ✌️

Thank you for another great video. The economics of Cambodia will continue to skyrocket, because of the demographics. The demographic pyramid is bottom heavy with young people, unlike the inverted pyramid of China. China has a desperate demographic problem, as do many western countries. ❤

Rural people store their rain in big pot near their house or they dig big ditch to store water… difficult to dig well during rainy season and water is not as clean during rainy season…

One must do it's recherche according to what you want and can afford, there's still plenty of affordable opportunity staying in Phnom penh.

Food prices are much higher in Cambodia compared with Vietnam and Thailand.
