A court in Cambodia sentenced several environmental activists to jail on July 2, 2024. Members of the green group, Mother Nature, were found guilty of plotting against the government and insulting the king after exposing the pollution of a public river near the royal palace in 2021.

As a citizen of Cambodia, this is the equivalent of living in North Korea. Without even speaking, Korean in the first place. You can’t express your feelings without getting disappeared with then seconds. I know this, because one of my family members never returned back after swearing at the government/prime Minister.

all tourists shoud stop coming as a sign of protest as well. while this would affect those living off of tourism, it might help shake things up a bit by joining in solidarity with Cambodians and all people willing to protect nature and basic human rights. blessings to Cambodians.

Cambodia has crossed off all limits now. Asian Climate change activists don't do any public damage to sites or monuments unlike European ones. Our people are non-violent. Just accusing us for such crimes makes zero sense.

If you are developing there is no environmental issue since Cambodia is in an early stages of infrastructure development. This you cannot compared the West to Cambodia and these activist are the problems and not a solutions to Cambodia future growth.
