Well, I will try. But may won't believe it until it is demoed to them. Electronics can do things with music signals that have influence on how rhythmic a recording sounds. A good demo is track 5 (Diamonds on the souls of her shoes) on Paul Simon's Graceland. On a good set the part after the a capella start sounds like the musicians really are on top of things. On poor performing equipment it sound if the musicians had a big party the evening before....

These are musical terms - the 'electronics' referred to here have one end purpose - to reproduce music. Arguably the key element amongst others, that defines music is it's rhythm, pace, timing - call it what you will. This essentially 'musical' element is achieved in the way that frequencies are handled - these effect, for example, the 'decay of notes' in space and the leading edge of notes or their 'attack'. The timing of these elements is a fluid experience in live music well performed - it is what makes us dance and engage with the music - it can also be what moves us emotionally - in the 'timing' of a great singer for example. Good electronics will get this element as naturally 'right' as possible. An experienced listener will be able to recognise this very early in listening to this or that kit (if properly run in or warmed up). Equipment that fails in this essential 'engagement' of the listener may get other tonal elements 'right' but it will fail to ultimately convey 'music'. This is a qualitative phenomena (quintessential, to human 'being') rather than a quantifiable, reductive property. Hope this helps.

So I will connect my iPhone within the app of my streamer using the Tidal option instead of using the Tidal app on my iPhone with AirPlay 2 connection as there is no Tidal Connect option within the Tidal app like it is possible within the Spotify app. To sum it up, I will only use AirPlay 2 to connect my iPhone with my streamer if I play KZfaq or Netflix etc. For „HiRes“ Streaming services I will always use the app of my streamer and not surpass it with AirPlay. Like Columbo I would like to ask you one more question: As Airplay 2 is limited to 44.1/48 can I assume that apth HD is on the same soundquality level as AirPlay 2 as aptx HD transfers up to 44.1/48 too (eg using a LG phone) ?

I don't entirely agree. The EDGE NQ does higher sampling rates when you use DLNA. Not everyone wants Roon. And, by the way, I was pointed to this page: roonlabs.com/partners/cambridge.html where it looks like Roon announces Roon Endpoint functionality for the EDGE A. I'll try to find out and get back to it in a next video.

As you said Hans not everyone wants Roon, I like the Conductor App from Aurender (full high res with MQA and Qubus Sublime+, Lightning DS from Auralic (full high res with own decoding and sampling of the MQA files), and for instance the LUMIN/TEAC App with all options...
