Camco Extend a Stay - 4 Port Propane Brass Tee with Hoses. This is our install and review video on the Camco Extend-a-Stay part number 59123. Once we setup camp, we don't like to break it down until we are leaving the campground. We were running low on propane once and had no choice but to break camp and go and get some more, because a cold front was moving in. We decided then and there that we would be installing the Camco Extend a Stay with 4 Port Propane Brass Tee with Hoses . It is easier to go and fill a grill propane tank than it is to fill the RV. There is also a bonus because there is an accessory port that you can use to operate the grill or other Propane Appliances. That will come in handy the next time we run out of propane with our Coleman Roadtrip LX Propane Grill.

This is a great video. I'm going to watch it a few more times before I attempt to do it because working with propane makes me nervous. I have a 2017 Jayco Class C and my propane tank is on-board. Thanks again guys, I used your 6 jeep toad set up videos a couple of years ago and they walked me through the set up like you were working along side of me. My wife and I are getting ready to retire and planning some trips. One is a month long southern trip next winter. I am thinking we may need to use more propane than normal during our two week stay at Topsail State Park so I am going to install a Extend a Stay Propane Kit. While doing my research I ran across your video on your installation and watch it to get some pointers. Once again you did a awesome job explaining what you were doing and what tools and parts that I will need to perform this installation. Keep up the good work and I'll see you for my next install.

With a little thinking you can use that assembly to transfer the contents of your grill or other aux tank into your main tank, just need to make sure you don’t have an excess flow valve in the end of the connector to said auxiliary tank.

The nice weather comes with trade offs. The weather you got came for here in Texas. It was 80 degrees the other day, then the front came through and the weather turned ugly, severe storms and a tornado watch for us until 4 in the morning. We lived in NH for over 30 years and had 1 tornado watch. 6 months in Maggie and we had been through 2 watches and 1 tornado warning. It still a great time though.😀

when you connect the propane tank you have the rv one off and turn on the externsl propane tank and that is the one the rv is using it does not fill the rv but it makes it easier to break camp and take the cylinder to refill

Can you shut the factory tank off and run the auxiliary 20 lb. tank through the T-valve so it fuels the house (motorhome) with propane while simultaneously using a barbecue from the upper fitting of the T-valve (using 12 ft. hose) ? We want to save our factory fixed propane tank to cool the fridge when we're driving as it's difficult to find service centres which have licensed personnel to fill in-vehicle propane tanks. Most retail fuel and BBQ centres just do tank swaps. In the old days they actually filled the tank you brought in. Please let me know.

Can anybody help me out with this? I have purchased two of these Camco tees and the bolt/plug WILL NOT budge on the tee to hook in the hose for an auxiliary tank. It looks like you disconnected that tiny outer plug with ease but I absolutely cannot remove that plug. What am I possibly doing wrong??

Question sfor you - but first, great video! After using the grill, do you shut off the main tank and burn off the gas in the hose? If so, do you have any problems with interrupting flow to systems in the RV? Any problems with the hose handling the unregulated pressure?

I installed one of these on our 2016 Minnie Winnie, a couple weeks ago, checked for leaks and all was good but we move around often and it comes loose almost every long trip, the first time I noticed was at a toll booth, any idea why this maybe happening? Thanks

@GetGonewithUS 3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, not sure, seems strange Justin. We have driven over 6000 miles since adding ours and there are no leaks at all. Is it leaking from where it is connected or from the 2 available ports? I just looked at ours and its a solid connection to the tank and the tank is mounted to the frame. I assumed you have it tightened enough. This is the first I have heard of this. If it continues, I would notify Camco Support and see if they know the cause of something like that. Good Luck.

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you just fill up before setting up camp? The rest of the video was great. I am purchasing one now!
@GetGonewithUS
@GetGonewithUS 4 жыл бұрын
In most cases we do fill before setting up camp. There was the one time, we expected to get propane at the campground. We got there late due to traffic, so we setup for the night. We figured we were already at the campground and set up, so we'd see how far we could stretch it. When we finally needed it, we found out they only fill the portable cylinders, not motor homes. We apparently live by Murphy's Law. LOL We ask the campgrounds now if they fill motorhomes too. Just in case we run into another situation, we have it covered now. 😀

Working with propane has always unnerved me but I'm going to watch the video a few more times to make sure I feel comfortable adding the converter. I have a 2017 Class C and my propane tank is on-board too. When I was in an Arizona RV park there was propane company that did onsite delivery and they didn't charge a delivery fee if you got on a scheduled delivery plan. I don't want to have to unhook every 3-4 weeks to get propane. Thank you for a great video.

Seeing how I cannot see the tank in person, the best advice I have is to spray a dish soap and water mixture on it to determine where it is leaking from. If the valve is the leak, I would call a propane company for further assistance. Good Luck! 😀
