On our way to eastern Canada to beat the heatwave in our Grand Design Solitude fifth wheel RV, we camped at Camden Hills State Park, where there was plenty to do within the park and close by. We will be doing a campground tour showing every site soon, in Part 2.
In this video, we show you Camden, Maine (war memorials, harbors, shore hike, & historic buildings) & the many Must See attractions there & in Rockland & Owl's Head. Inside the campground is the famous Mt. Battie Tower, an overlook. Across the street from the campground is the day use with an awesome Shoreline Trail with a view of Penobscot Bay. Close by is downtown Camden & its Dam & Megunticook River Waterfall - this iconic tourist attraction is in danger of disappearing. Close by is Owl's Head State Park & its historic lighthouse & in the town of Rockland is the unique long Breakwater to its lighthouse.

Very cool you can go up in the tower. Maine is our next stop. Some great views. Jessica had y'all pegged. You are swingers'. lol Sorry had to get that one in. I love the small older downtown style areas. Always cool to see. I would agree if they mess with the damn and lose the waterfall it would hurt the area I am sure. Great tourist attraction. Nice light houses. Jessica likes seeing them as well. Good video y'all. Looks like a very cool place. Maine here we come. lol

We spent a month in Maine and can’t wait to go back. Larry likes the swinger pun 🤣It will be sad if the waterfall right there in town is destroyed- it’s so unique. Hey Steve, somehow i missed this comment, well better late than never. I do a lot of stuff that can damage the body, I’m sure i will find a way to hurt myself on a swing. I just tore my hamstring efoil boarding in the outer banks so now i am on the mend again. We loved all the spots we hit this summer, maine and the Canadian provinces were awesome, trip of a lifetime. Bit of Trivia, The movie Peyton Place was filmed in Camden 1957. The movie sets it as a small town in New Hampshire. Live in Maine, visit here often😊

Oh my goodness what beautiful scenery. And lighthouses. I just love lighthouses. We put a statue of one outside in our backyard and it lights up too well it did but not if it still does. I love the waterfalls and the lighthouses. There is something about those 2 together they sound so peaceful. Glad you didn’t lose your hat. Thank you both for this great video.
