Real talk... the stuff that inmates come up with is quite amazing. I did a bit of time in a place that had a decent store list. I was able to make candy bars we couldn't get, fudge (difference recipe that calls for a pound of sugar, a cup of rehydrated powdered milk, peanut butter and 2 cups of cocoa powder), all kinds of nacho variants, caramel, ice cream, all kinds of burritos, pad Thai, and all kinds of off the wall mini spreads. I was even working on a brownie recipe. But we were fortunate... we had access to ice and microwaves. Everyone begged me to make fudge... all the damn time. Flash forward 2 years and I'm almost done with culinary school.
