I'm re-watching this while waiting for next ep of 'Monthly Magazine House', anyone else?? (03-07-2021)

Unfortunately cold n sad reality... sometimes it's true loving someone not enough to make it...but I married someone I didn't know and he was poor and no education and an immigrant just by choice of faith...and he simply ask me to give him a chance and make a life with him...we struggled for first 5 years and we indured and never gave up...and we made it...now we learned thru this struggle to love each other and respect each other...we have 4children...we have two cars and two homes... one in Canada n one in Africa...we travel and give charity for broken famillies...and even able to help out our children and give them each their own home...so they won't have to struggle as hard as we had too!!!...so this movie no matter how realistic it is... I don't respect it...I would of chose the man n help him thru it...not abandon ship n have apt for 2years n shoes n window to gaze at stars

Anyone notice Jung So Min always play the homeless girl? - in Playful Kiss, her house broke down and she and her dad had to move in the main lead's house - Then here she can't pay rent and therefore has to live in a hostel. - in Because This Is My First Life, she couldn't live in her home because her brother getting married, also had troubles getting paid at work and struggled to rent a decent room and stay in Seoul, so she moved in with main lead and faked a marriage with him - in Monthly Magazine Home, she was moved from place to place, also struggled with financial problems and moved in with main lead All adorable, delightful characters though, I love Jung Somin, watched most of her dramas, turned out it's all good, not sure because she did a good job picking dramas or I just enjoy her acting so much

Beautiful but sad. The ending is regrettably sad but realistically reflects how extreme poverty could sometimes cloud one's judgment as to what should be valued more in life. Had the woman possessed a stronger character, she would have chosen to face all odds and would have felt strengthened by the overwhelming love that her boyfriend has for her. The guy was amazing.

This couple has out of this world chemistry. And their acting is so tender together. KJS is my favorite Kdrama actor. He definitely has the "it" factor. MMH is so fun and romantic.

This is my nth times that I watched this drama but I still cried. Seeing the talking eyes, facial expressions and those silent meaningful moments of Jung So Min really touched my heart especially in the end while she was watching the star. A short drama but meaningful and heartbreaking as the love of her life died and became a star.

I'm happy to see co-starring of Kim Jiseok & Jung Somin again in JTBC new drama

He's such a good actor. I always enjoy his work

This is a touching but sad love story. I cried towards the ending of the drama. Still both the male and female leads did a great job in portraying the characters realistically and they have good chemistry in the drama. On a separate note, I'm happy to see Jung Somin on the TV screen again.

So finally after struggling with poverty, ja Seong can finally be a master of real estate and a billionaire, so he's going to chase his lover who still struggling under the poverty in monthly magazine lol this is great, I love the parallel

His last word. I'm ok (with smile). Breaks my heart 💔. When you realized it was too late. Life is hard. I hope you are not alone during hard time. Himnae.

Monthly magazine home is a hope that became true 🤩 until it's release, I couldn't get over this mini drama

this is what reality truly is.. in my opinion... love stories doesnt always end with a happy ending..

when i started to watch this, i didn't get the meaning of its name ,but when she looked at the stars at the end it all came clear to me.....and i cried....a lot....and some more :'((((

This movie really made me cry, the story line was so beautiful. Even though the ending wasn't so happy, but it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet in a way. The struggles, pain, and above all love. Then suddenly when things looks the brightest, there it shows a sudden scene where they are split apart. In this they broke up, in Romeo and Juliet he was banished. Then when you hope for the best. He dies. Its similar in a way. Showing the strong love they had, then showing a bit on conflict, then more love. Then suddenly they end with a sad ending with death. I hate how it all turned out but you could not hate the movie, you could not hate the characters. They were made this way, there are movies that are meant to make you cry. This movie was worth watching, and I am planning to watch it again some day.

Oh my God! I just found out that Jung Somin and Kim Jiseok had starred in the same drama before. So Monthly Magazine Home is their second project together, right? Wow! Never knew that this kind of thing could happen in real life. I thought K-industry will never pair the same leads again if they have worked together before.

My husband and I just love Korean tv shows and movie. Thank God for the subtitle because we don't understand Korean. We watched a lot of the shows from KBS on KOR tv and on Netfix

Wow. Was searching for a good romcom movie but I stumbled into this so I ended up watching this, because well it’s Jung SoMin, and now my heart is in pieces as reality just slapped me a hundred times today. 😩😩 Very very good movie though. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The story is really realistic. I dnt really like heavy dramas coz u knw life is already full of dramas and u wanna get away from them even for while by wtching movies but I really liked this mini drama.... the actors were great too...

I love how at 56:16 and 1:01:04 there isnt any sad music or effects to create the atmosphere, its just solid raw emotions.

I cant believe I'm watching this again. I remember the first time I watch Jung So Min years back and this was that movie. I randomly saw it on television and I was in awe of how beautiful she is and realized she has resemblance with another pretty actress (who I found out to be Son Ye Jin). Since then whenever I see Jung So Min I was reminded of the rice cooker scene 😆 That scene will never not be iconic and funny for me 😆

I stayed and finished the film cause I found her very attractive. Her mini smile brings a huge BANG that can cause a heart attack.

I don't get the ending of the movie but Kim Ji Suk sure can act! The part when he cries over his mother is quality drama.

I am inlove with this drama special, the first half was so sweet and special; and, while the second was tragic, nevertheless, it was able to show the sensibility of directing and the acting of both actors, Kim Ji Seok and Jung So Min!

They will be together again in a new drama series soon

It takes a strong faith and love for each other. You can make it thru anything with two young ppl working together. I been there and I’ve done it. I would never wanted to do it alone. I could have, but I’m grateful my husband and I chose to do it together.

Watched this movie around 2012. Cried so hard. Watching it again 2019. Crying extra cause now i'm older and understand life struggles even more.

As she returned to the terminal, she saw the news and rushed back to the hostel. I'm in the minority here. I really liked it. Keep in mind it's telling a story in only 1 hr 14 mins. I found it a melancholy story of 2 people with financial woes that were keeping their lives from being what they wanted their life to be...who can't relate to that. I mention the length because everything has to happen somewhat quickly, but I think Ha Jin and Kang Seok's relationship came together comfortably and believable. However, after a certain revelation things turn ugly. It was poignant and sadly disappointing when Ha Jin rejects Kang Seok. It breaks your heart that she seems to be completely heartless and materialistic no matter what the justification. Then when Kang Seok nearly follows suit in wishing his own sick mother would either get well or die so he can get on with his life really shocks you...but...if we are to be honest with ourselves we likely have been nearly as selfish at some point. However, in the end both come to their senses, unfortunately for Ha Jin it's too late. Yet, Kang Seok's kindness will forever be Ha Jin'S as he will forever watch over her from a far. A bittersweet end.

He's not dead cause the news only said he was severely injured. I wish that they could have met in the end. The guy was not able to see what the girl choose in the end. Great story. love it

I don't think a lot of you are understanding how much they loved each other. She knew if he found out she was poor, he'd have to think about the burden his mother placed on him, and that it would tear him apart. So she tried to hide it, and when he found out, she had to try and leave him, or else he'd really think about shutting off his mother. She knew they couldn't be together as they'd both end up worse off. She wasn't a gold digger, she was saying the truth.
