Join Danny and Jack on a day filled with unexpected twists as they set out to maintain crucial water points on the station. However, their plans take a turn as curious camels keep crossing their path, leading to a series of delays and challenges. Watch the struggle against the clock and the camels, only to be faced with an unforeseen vehicle issue at the end. It's a day of Outback unpredictability!

Great stuff Jack showing hows it really is. Gotta add a floating piece of wood in the troughs will allow the birds to clamber up,dry out and fly off without fouling.

I would love to know more about Danny too. Some carefully thought out questions, some he could have input to beforehand. Let him tell a bit about his family's history, the country he comes from, what he loves (and does not) about working with the rest of you mob. Clearly you trust him 'going bush' with you on the back Jack, chasing camels. The way he weaves his way through the bush, is really skillful. It's okay that he is seemingly shy. My partner of 23years is an Aboriginal man. He's not one for a lot of words, doesn't need to sell or prove himself to anyone. Will speak when it's important enough to him.

Given you've got local WiFi at the water station, you might be able to use some cheap smart moisture sensors like the ones people use for alerting when their plants need to be watered. If you put a few at different levels of the tank you could at least confirm if the float level matches up with the sensor reading. You could also put a smart electrical load sensor like the Kill-a-watt on it to read the voltage from the pump.

I was blown away when I read about feral camel over population being so high and that the amount basically doubles every 9 years approximately. A non native specie doing damage to native species in both plant and animal. After the culling what happens to the carcasses? It has to be another massive issue.

good honest video, Ya need to put a Mic on Danny coz he sure does talk quiet lmao, well yeah you were very correct about the culling, its not hunting, it is very brutal and hard to watch but it is very neccasary work, in a perfect world there would be good money to round them up for meat either locally or export, would be another source of income maybe, but i understand the logistics and cost of doing that to. Not sure, but you might look into a optics swap with that old mauser you had. Tasco Simmons, and bushnell make decent liq budget variable power scopes and no you dont turn the power up to make farther shots. But they should cost under $100 US dollars.
@ronkruchten5867
@ronkruchten5867 4 ай бұрын
I'm fairly new to his channel and may have missed it but I've never seen Jack using a Mauser; you may be thinking of the wood-stocked, modified Enfield# 4 (?) that had given him some significant jamming problems before he acquired the black pump-action AR-type he was using in this episode? Incidentally, those Enfield feeding issues are almost always magazine-related, and can usually be eliminated by carefully bending the feed lips slightly to conform to the particular bullet type being employed. A Google search should bring up some tutorials on how to troubleshoot and correct them. My #4 Mk II is chambered in the original .303 British round, and the only magazine I have for it it is currently adjusted to work flawlessly with 215 Grain round-nosed Woodleighs, but it jams easily when I try to run pointed 150 grain Hornady handloads. When I bend the feed lips to run the 150's, the 215's jam; I need separate mags for each type I guess...

@jack_out_the_back
@jack_out_the_back 4 ай бұрын
The Keltec is actually the one I have in mind! It would be ideal. We are allowed a revolver on our primary producer licence, but it has to be larger than a 38, but I'm not allowed to use it outside of yards. On a club licence you are allowed any pistol (Inc semi auto) with a capacity limit of 10 rounds. But we aren't allowed to use those anywhere other than a range.
