In short there’s simply not, a more joyful and wonderful spot, for enjoying such a lovely performance by the actors and orchestra!!! I saw Sir Richard Harris in this in London. He had taken over from Richard Burton who was injured by a piece of scenery. It was an amazing show.

The Orchestra Director: What lovely facial expression as she looks at the musicians AND barefoot! Let the music reverberate from the tips of her toes to her face and top of her head! Just wonderful! A true musician and excellent director!

Call me a philistine, but I must confess I prefer Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave in the 1967 iteration; though I freely admit this gentleman is by far the better singer
