Күн бұрынUsing Profoto studio flash and a little imagination I’ll show how to create a classic image with a strong atmosphere.
Studio lighting a still life subject to invoke mood narrative and emotion.
Plus, some tips and tricks in Photoshop to help things along a little.
I'll use a Canon DSLR tethered into Capture One to show you the iterations from basic image to completed photograph.

I have watched others do "still life" in KZfaq videos. I have also done some of it in my years of photography. You are by far the master at it and you have taught me some things that I had never thought of. I'm going to try to get the photography club where I belong to watch your videos too. Excellent tuition and I do love following along!! Just one thing puzzles me in the video when the water is being added, the cocktail stick and olive are present however in the post-production they are clearly missing!!

The camera settings are almost irrelevant as it is the flash duration that freezes the motion. The camera settings where ISO 100, 1/250 (sync speed) f8 You can achieve a very short flash duration with a Speedlight/flash gun by using a low energy and compensating with higher ISO Thanks for watching.

Nice work as usual, I really enjoy watching your method. Question on this one, your Photoshop images with the splashes don't have an olive. so obviously it was removed at some point during the splash technique. I would assume that would make editing the final image easier since it would move with every splash. Just checking to make sure my reasoning is on the correct path. Thank you for all your lessons
