Hi, there is slow motion. In the custom video codec choice; choose HD 1920 X 1080; and choose slo mo; you can choose down to 0.48X or something like that. Yes I know it differs significantly from what we expect - I mean 120fps shouldn't be difficult frankly. However, it still is slo mo; I will try it out on my side. Great review! There is an option similar to PANA in terms of focus pull - you can constrain the focusing range from say 5m - 20m. If you have a video recorder, please try to see how high the hdmi out can go.

Tnx for the 0.45x tip, I missed that completely, I will try it out next time I get this camera. Focus range limiter is great stuff, I'll talk about it in second part of the review.

I achieve smooth and pleasing results using the following settings: FHD - SF - 30p - x0.5 Looks like 60fps slowed down to 30. Haven't got as pleasing a result from the other options, not enough motion blur at 25 and it tends to look choppy, so this is my go-to setting.

How do i get it to record in a single file for videos longer tham 3 minutes? I am using a 170mbps sandisk extreme pro card but it keeps breaking up the files

could try again, indoor low light test BUT with something with more contrast than the lens you had used. I think its the lack of contrast for the almost 9 sec AF time

Sorry, I don't remember what firmware was on this camera. It's not mine, most of the stuff I review is borrowed. Now I own Panasonic G9 and Canon 6D.

Excellent review. I have quick question. I bought my Em1 not long ago but just started using it more. How do you keep the live view on all the time?

Thanks! There are "auto power off" and "quick sleep mode" in J2 tab in custom settings. Play with those settings to keep live view active for how long you want.
