Limbe, formerly Victoria, town and port located in southwestern CameroonLimbe is one of the few towns found by the sea side. It was founded in 1858 by Alfred Saker, of the British Missionary Society. As of the national census of 2005, it had a population of about 84,223 inhabitants.Before its discovery Victoria and its vicinity was not part of the new German colony Kamerun and remained under British administration. It was on 7/05/1886 that Great Britain and Germany agreed to exchange Victoria and its vicinity for German rights at the Forcados River in Nigeria and St. Lucia in South Africa. On 28/03/1887 Victoria and its vicinity were then handed over to the German administration.

This is why cameroonians must be careful with what is going in the NW of the country. My brethren, I beg you to apply african wisdom in resolving this exploding issue. Corruption, government money grabbing, belittling of fellow citizens, the lack of vision by those in charge of public affairs and you name what, that are going on in Africa in general and in your country in particular, are intolerable to say the least! But what can we do to remedy this situation? Unless the sons and daughters of the same country seat around a table for a heart-pouring discussion, they may all end up losing everthing! Is this really what we are aiming for? Beware of those who coax brethren of the same country to fight each others! I'm not saying that both camps are immature or being manipulated to the point of being incapable of speaking by and for themselves. Whatever happens or is done, we are to remember that Africa is a paradise and that others are forming a coalition to expell us from it if not exterminate us! Rather than going abroad to seek arms and money to combat one another, let's improve our living conditions and infrastructures back home here so that Africa's children can move about wherever they can and want in order to fight scarcity. I have deliberately refrained from using the word 'poverty' because neither Africa nor Africans are poor! It is just a matter of vision. If my perspective is wrong, then you'll tell me how those who set sail from Plymouth in the UK then Europe developped the US? So, let's watch out and get ourselves organised if we want to get respect from those who think we are no human beings and deserve nothing good let alone live. My response to your comment is not targeting you. Certainly not! This is just a way of raising awareness to us all, Africans! So, let's watch out! My apologies to all those who may find me patronising and pretentious. But I could help giving a small contribution given the scale of our plight! Turning a blind eye thereon equals to being irresponsible. Let's face our destiny!
