@@evaobrien572 I know that, however never in my life as a Brit have I heard someone refer to the Scottish or N. Irish accent as part of the generalised British accent, they would pin point those accents and refer to them as a Scottish or a N. Irish accent. We realise that when most people are referring to a British accent they actually mean English and even that they would incorrect to refer it as a British accent as there are many English accents depending on the region.

i think because she moved there quite young (14), and she has to stay in the american accent all day when filming (even between takes), where as kevin mckidd can switch between the two

All the characters speaking British or Australian accent on the show has not been successful (Mer's old friend, Katherine Fox's fellow, Cristina's gift for Mer, and some others). I think that's why Camilla played a role of an American person in GA. British accent just doesn't suit the show for some weird reasons. Idk. Maybe because that way the character just wouldn't blend easily and naturally with the rest of the present characters.

She's from the Berkshire area, just outside London. They talk a bit more posh than London which explains her kind of posher accent and she moves to America at 14 so its why she talks in a weird hybrid accent

I just want to say I don't like her in the character she's playing don't like her role and whatever I don't like Jo Wilson and Steph Edwards they just so feel confident, bragging and VIP whatever I don't like their character their role their act everything I mean with Jo what do you expect with Alex being upset and mad and angry she doesn't give him answer doesn't tell the truth and he would expect Alex to just understand and not get mad and angry even if she doesn't tell the truth she's married already with someone else. Duh!! And with Steph she always does the thing that she always act like she know everything! Agh! Grey's anatomy will survive and always will thrive without these two characters. Their just there. Hate me don't care
