The support item is balanced. It takes longer to charge and fully stack, as well as giving less stats. They also needed the fuck out of watchful wardstone and other support items this season. The reason that it works on Camille is because pyke is a support, and there needs to be a support item for him. Not that riot did bad here, Camille is just strong overall rn, and will probably get hit with a nerf (especially in the support role (nerf to e early game cooldown and increased mana cost)

For fuk sake, le blanc supp is a thing only cuase of the ap item, its a flawed concept, giving a role stats for free just cause its unpopular its not good design. Like how many games have you seen the supp doing more damage than the adc, i've seen a lot, that doesn't make sense, the one that takes the resources botlane and buys purely damage does less damage than the role that doesnt get resources (except this item, who is totally not broken) and buys a lot of utility, yeah, makes sense to me, surely its not a flawed concept.

​@MrBigPauly1 I'm going to do this in multiple replies to address all of this comment, so please wait for the two or 3 comments I'll post in quick succession before replying. Firstly, Camille is strong in general, with a higher winrate top then support, with a 51% winrate supp but 52% top. this could be used as evidence that the support item is actually nerfing her. Leblanc support emerald+ has less then 50% winrate, and is considered weak if not unviable. Leblanc in general is weak due to the tank changes plus kaenic rookern being super strong, same with a lot of ap champs. They aren't nerfing the stats of the upgrades, because the upgrades are balanced. They're nerfing the time it takes to get them to delay power spikes of mid game supps (tank supports like maokai and naut mostly) so there is some counterplay readily available at all ranks. Next, the 3 examples you give are the 3 strongest supports before the recent patch which gutted senna. What your doing is conflating X being strong and X being in the support position so it must be because Y (the support item) and not the buffs to other items. I could name other champs in other roles that have much higher winrate s (Cass top having an almost 54% winrate emerald plus, with malphite and Warwick top being around 52.5%) and how the item changes have made them stronger (bruisers/tanks have become infinitely more stronger due to the item changes), but that doesn't mean I can say teleport op nerf teleport. Poppy is the highest winrate champ emerald plus with above a 54% winrate. And that's because she's a tank. All people are benefiting from these changes, just some more then others. Finally, the reason why support feels strong this patch is because mages in general got a big buff aswell, to compensate for the addition of more Mr items. So mage supports like zyra karma lux are doing better. Senna has always been a problem till she got gutted last patch, and so can't scale anywhere near as nicely. And since they refuse to allow ADCs to have any agency in the game for the past few seasons, botlane needs some agency in the game so it falls fairly heavily on the support, making them feel stronger. When ADCs were meta, everyone else got mad, Samira zeri could carry team fights and nobody liked it because they are automatically the person that needs peeling for anyway, so the support would play braum or thresh and keep them alive. Right now supports actually roam, a lot more then past seasons, to gain that control because of how useless ADCs are. Overall, supps don't (if I look at winrates) even appear in the top 5, so they obviously don't hold as much power as you seem to think. Now does that mean they aren't stronger then they have been for a season or 2? No, they are definitely stronger and have more agency now. But I wouldn't say that's a bad thing, to be able to turn a teamfight is something anyone should be able to do, but supports weren't able to do that solely before due to tank meta, now it's ap and bruiser meta so supports can actually shine. To be honest, your rage feels like you had one or two bad games against a good support, and they carried the game, and your mad and want to blame the support item. It's not the support item in this case, it's the shift from tank meta to bruiser/mage meta which has made support viable.

​@@MrBigPauly1it only allows you to choose one thing of utility, which is the same for any other item, and off meta picks are being stomped down on (senna, karma top/mid, and Cass top are all being looked at by riot). This is still fairly early in the season, so some changes may come. But this is the first time I've heard a " nerf supp /supp item" cry. They mostly are focused on two supports (maokai, and bard) for their insane roam and gank potential. But that's not getting mad about the support item or role as a whole, and most people acknowledge the way to counter this would be to buff adcs, which riot are too afraid to do. So supports are going to be at this power level until worlds, maybe then they might get an adc buff and support nerf (but that will most likely target the specific supps or a item supps build (like malignance) rather then the support item).

It's basically gonna get to the point where the item will have to be placebo, mark my words, just like yuumi, yes it exists, but it does nothing. And this is not my idea (removing evolution items), its ratirl's, who as a supp abuser would know better than me XD If rumble is strong 3 patches (more like years at this point) in a row, his wr will go down, due to the players that are willing to pick him up cuase they like him doing so soon-ish, and thus using the champion for 3 patches, getting to a higher elo than their skill would otherwise allow, bringing the wr back to a balance, when the champion itself is not balanced. This is what's happened with supp, the role has been so strong for so long that the role is inflated, ask anyone, what role do they think is more inflated, everyone that's not a supp player will tell you: support. So i feel my words hold some truth to them. And the argument is pretty simple, supp role shouldnt be doing, consistantly may i add, more dmg than the damage role, there's something clearly wrong here and to me it seems obvious its too many resources, when the supp has two items the rest of the players barely have one, yes one item is not as strong as a legendery, but still pretty good. Just imagine any other role getting so much gold for free, Cull is really trash compared to supp item, and the supp item costs less. Like i understand if supp had no gold generation then it sucks to play it, but understand as well, if you get 10k gold for free at minute 10 as supp (this is ofc an exageration) its turbo broken, and what would happen then? You would see more carry champs being picked supp so that they could access that free gold to get their items, right? Isn't this a bit of what we are seeing rn? It's not so much to be that obvious, cause its not 10k gold, its more like a really fast 2 item powerspike, and if you manage to synergize really well with one of the 5 supp evos then you have access to play the role, but still, is it good for the game to have variaty on roles, i guess so (as an adc i only have 20ish champs to pick from), but is it good for the game that the supp role is more decisive than the adc role, no? Shouldn't it be equal? I dont know how to convince you, you are agreeing with me that supp requires a nerf but you are saying riot is too lazy or stuck up their ass or whatever reason, cant remember, to nerf them, probably cause Phreak swap roles :D and that they will take until next season to do so, i really hope not, i almost already quit league, and a LOT of adcs have quit league or the role, it used to be supp the role least popular botlane, now its adc, which is mind blowing, cause we used to the second most popular. I dont know, im frustrated, i see your point, but also see mine, this item evo is a weird way that affects champions polarilly, and by that i mean that its really broken on some, weak on others, and that gatekeeps the viability of such champ, adds nothing to the game, except break it, idk, maybe you supps thikn the items are cool. It's always this weird: 'since this item iteration these champions have caught the rough end of it, so we are gonna buff the champs', idk, it feels like artificial complication, game would be much simpler, fair and easier to balance if the atlas item evolved into an item that gives wards and pink wards and taht's it, or maybe make assists give 50 more gold but kills give 20 less, and while we are at it, give the shutdown value to the other guy, not the supp, everyone would have more fun i think.

It was quite good pick before season 14, but season 14 changes made her weak top lane so some migrated to supp.

99% of players arent familiar with camile(on bot) and most janas have a tendency to skill W lv1 specially against meele supports. So the lv 1 engage usually works even against janna.

Not halve as much as camille can. 1st camille is busted op at lv 1 already so when other than irelia she can push advantages while invading or even cheese gank lv1 on mid lane. also what makes camille work so well is the fact that her Q gives her movement speed to quickly run out before she gets traded back too much. Speaking of trading back Camilles passive negates the 1st 150 dmg she gets every time she engages good luck get a positive trade against this. Last but not least irelia has so much power in her passive which she cant use at all as support (without taking farm)
