Day 16 of the trial, Camille Vasquez handles the first hour of the cross examination BRILLIANTLY! She just traps Heard in a corner in pursuit for answers to her question.
Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp.

From what I understood, she couldn't say that, because she stated under oath, that she would donate the 7m to charity during the original trial in the UK. That was tough. She has literally and factually been exposed as having lied under oath, which makes everything else she can say totally not reliable. But she keeps struggling. Funny thing is imagining the UK judge, who based most of his jugement on the fact that he thought Amber gave the 7 M and was not a gold digger, realising now that she never paid the 7 M, lied to him, was actually a gold digger and basically fucked him over properly. Priceless.

I wonder since I'm not an American, nor a Brit, never lived in either of those countries and don't know the international law in this regard... Since this case literally proves that she lied in the UK trial under oath, could she now be called to the UK and be held accountable for perjury? Can she be held accountable both in the UK AND the US since she lied in two different trails with different sides in two independent countries?
@freewyvern707

@@Kasiarzynka The UK case didn't involve Heard, but a tabloid called "The Sun". The Sun called Depp a "wife beater", and Depp loss the defamation case as the courts concluded the evidence that was public at the time did indeed lead to that statement being probable. (Saying the the Sun didn't make the claim without reason). It's important to note defamation is handled differently in the two countries. In the UK, the party being accused of defamation has to prove their statement was made with evidence, while in the USA, part accusing defamation had to prove that it was a false statement. This makes UK defamation cases a lot easier, but given the case was against the Sun and not Heard, it's not really applicable.

@@JudeMalachi I definitely agree: I think she is suffering from a personality disorder and I found it extremely bizarre that her legal team fought so hard to prove that she doesn’t have one, which ultimately means everything she does is purposeful and intentional rather than a symptom of a disorder. By having their own psychologist claim that Amber does not suffer from BPD and HPD, they have laid the foundation that everything she has done and said has been done purposefully.

As someone who tends to lie (never in serious moments, never too much), I see her trying to escape. The classic excuse, the one where you're trying to say "I was planning to but x happened" A way to break someone who's lying like this is indeed to repeat your question until they stop repeating the same answer and go "alright, it's actually (truth)" Edit:less than an hour I get 2,5k likes and over 120 comments (excluding my responses) Where did you people come from?
