Castroverde - Lugo 22km
A quick Alberque tour for you before the start! A shorter, cruisy day today - no climbs, in fact relatively flat. Sure, it meanders up and down a little, but just enough to keep it interesting. Beautiful woods along the way on the Complementaro. Not many services today! My entire crew left at dawn today, long before I arose. Good bye‘s were said last night. They will be missed.
Caught up with the Americans, Chrissy and Jay, and just wandered into town with them - there was no rush!
Today is my last day on the Primitivo, tomorrow I have a rest day before starting on the (unofficial ) Camino Verde. (This crosses over to Sobrado dos Monxes on the Norte)

Good to see that you are enjoying the antipodes of New Zealand. You are wandering through the Northern hemisphere version of.. Christchurch 😉

Indeed! Slightly less populated though. Many, many things in Spain remind me of NZ. It's beautiful. One place - A Coruna - even has Pohutukawa trees. Yep, seriously!

Looks like brussels to me too, we pick and eat the young leaves as it's too hot and wet for the sprouts to develop properly.
