lol I got banned from his channel after I said his whole Warden theory was wrong because it banked on the Warden dropping Sculk Catalysts and I pointed out that kingbdogz, who came up with a lot of the Warden lore, tweeted saying it dropping a Sculk Catalyst is only for renewability on large and tech servers and has no lore implications

to put it in simple terms, the Sculk Calibrator allows you to set what specifically the Sculk can detect. ie; only detecting footsteps, or only detecting block placements

They really saved themselves with this update, the armor trims, the sign stuff and the archeology and new lore trials, and finally the deep dark has a use now with the new and improved skulk sensor and armor trims that look fire

I also have a finishing touch for the update: The armor trim will now give you a small buff depending on the MATERIAL AND THE TEMPLATE, and you can also trim tools and they will also receive minor buffs

I'm actually really hyped about the signs! I hated that you couldn't edit signs without breaking them. I'm also glad that you can finally write on the back! I'm guessing this'll be the case for hanging signs too. Either way, glad to see more QoL features added to the game!

basically what a calibrated skulk sensor does is that certain sounds have different frequencies, like opening a chest is 10, etc. the amount of redstone coming from the skulk sensor equals the frequency you need to operate it, so if there was 10 bits of redstone, you could use a chest.

The new sculk sensor only activates to the same sound as to the redstone input on it. (Example: If I put a redstone power level of 10 then it will only react to level 10 sounds like a chest opening)

The End Update is an upcoming major Minecraft update to 1.20 that set to be released sometimes in August 6th, 2023. It completely overhauls and revamps The End Dimension and adds a massive amount of content. It also includes 6 new biomes in the End and a revamp of Bows. It adds 103 new Blocks, Items, Tools, Weapons, and Armor, 10 new Mobs, and 7 new Biomes to The End.
