Unfortunately, as of Minecraft Bedrock 1.15 or so, you can no longer set a super flat to custom blocks. It now only works in Java or in older copies.

i remember on the old ps4/xbox edition of minecraft (you know, the one with minigames built in. not bedrock but also not java) and there was a customize world option just like that (maybe easier) and i remember making an ENTIRE world from y=255 all the way down to y=0 (there were no negatives, just death) and me and my friends would light the tnt and watch as the entire world nuked. it held up very well surprisingly. better than java or bedrock would. i miss ps4

I generally use this superflat: Stained Glass, 62*Concrete (of the same colour) and then iron block. This is the settings for my testing worlds and it has worked marvels for me.

@@jonathanbaxter4611 I'll first start off by saying that my world generally uses white stained glass and white concrete. Reasons I use it: 1. Compared to a normaly generated terrain, superflat worlds makes it easier to deal with testing contraptions and farm ideas since I don't need to bother with generated structures and mountains and what not. 2. I use my 64 layer superflat compared to a normal superflat is becuase it gives me depth to work with. With the normal superflat, there is a total of 4 layers to work with and that's not gonna cut the mustard. Also, taller worlds means slimes won't spawn on solid block surfaces. 3. I use glass to prevent mob spawning. This really applies to the superflat that can spawn mobs. This is so that I can test my farms knowing that there's at least a surface below me that I can land on if anything happens. 4. One thing I didn't mention is that my glass superflats are in Mushroom biomes. This is to prevent mob unwanted hostile mob spawning. The grass also looks nice here. (If you're saying, "Just use peaceful mode", no. I want hostile mobs, I just don't want unwanted natural spawning of them. In fact, my worlds tend to be in Hard mode since I work with villagers a lot.) 5. I use white concrete because it gives me a seemingly blank canvas to work with. It's mostly aesthetic only, but it helps with starting new projects. It's like drawing, yoh start drawing from a blank, white canvas, and rarely from a canvas of another color.

And you think that's all? You can make custom layers to the worlds using preset menus and also determine how common structures like villages or mineshafts would spawn. You can also change the biome to anything you desire including nether and end biomes and even add decoration on the top layer of your world, making it able for trees, grass, water and lava lakes to spawn!

in minecraft PS4 Edition there was a funny thing that if you customize the superflat to TNT, you will have infinite layers of tnt under you. And if you ignite it it will just explode infinitely (it didnt crash the system because PS4 have strong hardware, but the explosions would make a infinite tunnel spaning a lot of blocks)

I used to do so many custom super flat worlds on my Wii U, one i did was where the top was magma and then the deeper you went the better ores the layers would be, it was really difficult until you got to a village but after that it was pretty easy.

one cool trick you can do is make a superflat world that's tnt, sand and a pressure plate so everytime something steps on a block it falls

Sand isn't necessary thought if you want to add colours you can use colored concrete powder. You can completely ignore sand too

In an old bedrock edition you could make a superflat world that was all the same biome, you could also customize the layers (like the 1st layer can be dirt, 2nd layer would be sand, etc) I thought it was a pretty cool feature but now I can't find it in newer versions
