As a camper, it totally does make a difference when your counselor makes an effort to get to know you. I'm pretty quiet and I get overlooked sometimes, but when a counselor wanted to talk to me, it made me feel seen. It really does make your camp experience better when you know they care.

Aw I’m so glad to hear this! I totally get it because I was always the quiet kid too and I know how it felt to get overlooked for the kids who were a lot more confident and louder than me so I want to always make my kids feel included and seen!!

We got a preference but you didn’t always get what you wanted and at our camp you switch in between the two sessions, so I worked with both 15 and 13 year olds over the whole summer

It was super easy to get hired I found! I was a drama specialist specifically :)

Where you allowed your phone at night in your cabin?

No not at my camp, staff have a locker in the staff lounge they have to keep it in, although as a supervisor I was allowed it because I wasn’t in a cabin with kids
