Wow. I didn't know I grew up stomping the same grounds as heroes and celebrities... amazing

My Dad graduated from Poly High (it became Riverside City College) in June of ‘41. He was drafted in January of ‘42 and was sent to that training camp then on to the Philippines.

My mother worked for Union Pacific Railroad in the city of Orange. That same railroad head out to Riverside. My mom her name is Rachel Alonzo (Perez) The Alonzo brother's all went to the service World War II as the train was leaving she indicated that they were throwing oranges into the arms and hands of the servicemen whol left on the train they said they were going to Riverside and they were hope that they would see them again they took the city of Orange memories with them and also the oranges that were pull off the Orange Groves trees.... I like to see the story be told as I had spoken to my mother about it recorded her memories Old Towne Orange.

I have a Union Pacific Railroad Company train order No. 36, Jan. 20, 1946 orders with engs. run extra Arlington to camp. anza and return to Arlington. then East Arlington to Camp Anza. My Father was an U.P. Engineer who transported the soldiers to Los Angeles port.
