Hello, People!
My name is Marc, welcome to my channel.
I've been wanting to change up my camping stove system to propane for a while now. I've been using Coleman Duel Fuel stoves since the 1990's. Unfortunately I've been having issues with gasoline leaks and worries about plugged generators on this stove for too long.
I picked up a Camp Chef Everest 2X propane 2 burner stove and some accessories in order to give propane a chance to cook my food and make my coffee. There's a few issues to work out before it's all said and done though. Feel free to offer input if you are so inclined.

Thank you! You too! I think I'll be working a bit on routing propane hoses this weekend. Camping season is rapidly approaching. How about you, doing anything fun? :D

Such a nice new red and black stove (one of my favorite color combinations for gear). I'm a little jealous of the space you have because I would love to have a two-burner stove inside my trailer. Someday I may build out a 6 by 10 and will have the capacity to have the kind of room you do inside your trailer and to be able to stand up and move around in it. Perhaps the line could be run straight out the side on the same level of the shelf the stove is sitting on? That would give the hose some flexibility for the stove to be moved around but may get in the way of making that part of the shelf useful for sitting a bunch of things on. I think probably you will be the one to break the code for that particular situation since you are there in the real space and know what you can get away with. I also like your 5 lb tank. I don't particularly like having to buy those 1 lb propane bottles because they are expensive for one and two it's a big waste to have to throw them away I think. (I use them in a Buddy heater that I use for marginal situations when I want to heat my trailer). One thing I do is I have a 20 lb tank that I refill the 1 lb cylinders with over and over but I know that that's something you're not supposed to do but I have done it for years and found it relatively safe thing to do if you weigh them correctly and leave the space in them for expansion and contraction when going over different altitudes. Nice video Marc.

Thanks, Kenny. I have seen you talk/type about getting a 6x10 perhaps. Being able to fully stand and operate in the trailer is a very nice feature. Gas mileage will go down with the larger profile trailer, always something to factor in. I'll be working on my 4'x6' trailer this summer, I hope to use it to get to farther places on less gas monies yet still have a bit of comfort. For the gas hose, going out the front on the same level as the stove would be the simplest, easiest, most direct way. But, potential water intrusion from rain while underway could be an issue. And it would be unsightly right there in my kitchen space. I like the idea of going out the side, down lower near the man door. I have purchased the necessary hoses and hatch to get it done I believe. I feel like I'd lose too much counter space taking the hose out the side on the stove level. In my purchases, I did get a system for refilling the smaller propane tanks. Haven't used it yet, but I plan on topping up/refilling the 5lb from from my 20lb tanks. I think it works for the 1lb bottles as well. I've no problem with refilling of tanks. The only big caution I would say to people is not to do the refilling indoors! Good way to blow oneself up! I sure wish I was down south right now. Spring is coming but it's fickle here in Utah. :D

I think going through the floor is where I would go. The making hole in the side of a trailer sounds like something I would not want to do.

I imagine you'd also be in the camp of no roof penetrations? In my opinion, it's pretty easy to prevent casual water intrusion. Do you have other reservations beyond water? I did consider going out of the stove and straight down through the floor. I'd need a different style of passthrough, but I have seen some that would work. Ultimately I decided against the floor route because I have nothing else going through the floor and have quite a few wall penetrations already, what's one more.. Thanks for commenting! :D

Honestly I never minded the pumping, it was fun and you felt like you were doing something important and useful. Made for good video moments too! Now the soot, that I can do without... :D
