Decided to fire up the Guide Gear woodstove this morning and do some outdoor camp cooking. It was peaceful listening to the sounds of nature while I ate my breakfast.

I can mail you an antique slick cast iron skillet that I stripped with electrolysis to bare iron and seasoned three times over. Would be better than flaking Teflon in your food. I live in Minnesota. Really like your videos. Pay you back.

When I was a very young lad, about 10, I read a book by Jim Kjelgaard (actually read them all), called “Big Red”. In there was a passage describing cooking and eating his bacon and eggs and “washing it down with a cup of coffee”. This video brought that 55 year old memory back to life. Thank you Kyle. You’re awesome. Cheers bud. You never know when you're making a memory. (Tommy Lee Jones)

We like ALL you two do! Thanks for sharing. Been there, done some of that. Lived on a mountain in an old place - - wood for heat, well in floor of kitchen, bathed in lake until too cold, then heated water on wood stove - - - best place I ever lived - - even if it was when I was my poorest.

Love breakfast food. Great video. You're smart to crack the eggs on a flat surface instead of the edge of the pan.

Hey just wondering... would you recommend this stove for inside use for like a hunting shack or even in your cabin...? If not, what do you think?Thank you!
@KYLESCABIN4 жыл бұрын
It depends on how big the hunting shack is and how insulated it is. The stove puts off a lot of heat and is solid. It will last a long time. It says that its "for outdoor use only" but that's just so they can bypass the EPA requirements. If you use common sense and the proper heat shields or keep it away from combustibles it could be used inside. I had it inside my 12*16 log cabin for awhile and i was very impressed by how well it heated. In my opinion it would be perfect for a camper or small cabin/shed/shack.
I bought same stove havent used yet in TN. How's it hold up boss
@KYLESCABIN4 жыл бұрын
It holds up really good. Puts off a lot of heat! The factory paint that comes with it starts to burn off and discolor, but you can buy high heat spray paint (you can find it at wal mart or any hardware store for about $4) and repaint it and it holds up really well.
