Daniel, thank you for immortalizing my dad in this interview! One Ernie Dahman quote that impacted me the most was “If you decide to jump the fence, make sure you clear the top strand” which, to me, meant put forth the necessary effort to succeed in your life’s designs.

Rick,great to see you old buddy.I quit 6 years ago.They wanted me on Hartstene at 3 in the morning for 2 loads to Shelton.I said no,they said yes you will.Haven`t worked a day since.Funny about Bacon,we used to sell firewood to him,last load of madrona I took to him on the self loader was stacked to the moon.He just shook his head and said don`t even want to know.

My Dad (Barney) drove trk 116 at Govey 50 to 72 when he went to the dry sort yard. My uncle John Whiting ran the rigging shack until shut down. He was the last Company camp blacksmith.

@@DanielBoonesloggingvideos Most of his career. Started out in const springing stumps and logging right aways behind a Cat. EXCELENT BABBIT MAN and Rigging repairs of all kinds. To hard working Men R.I.P to both .

We called him Ricky Rocket I hauled with him on a few sides if I heard him coming up behind me Id hit a wide spot Damn man I remember going to vista, buse, zippo we were up cougar smith rd and 800 line fun times good to see Rick on here

If I were asked about characters I worked with you'd be one of em for sure Id pull over you'd go by and next I saw you Id be in another turnout cuz you were out loaded hahaha one hell of a log trucker sir! We see too many young people with two or three hundred thousand dollars worth of toys. Unless you make a millon bucks a year, you will never get ahead of it!
