I’m a screwed vet as I was a dependent infant. My dad was USMC and we were at the Midway housing project (1957 - 1959) When I was older I joined the military and was never at Camp Lejeune. I got out of the service and developed Kidney Cancer and now have Parkinson’s. If anyone is reading this be aware the VA will not award any disability compensation. They told me they will pay any medical coasts involved if you can find your bills from more then 20 years ago. Also in my case private medical insurance paid 80% of it and you know the Insurance provider would want reimbursement if the VA paid for any cost involved. My only option at this point is to jump in on the Lawyer feeding frenzy. In the end a Law firm would be paid handsomely, and I would wind up with little to no settlement pay. And again your Medical Insurance carrier would be looking for some reimbursement. Foy you vets who were stationed at the camp, defiantly take advantage of this opportunity if you have been affected. For any Vets who we’re dependents on base, sorry you get little to nothing.

I was stationed at Camp Lejeune in 85 for 8 months. I don't have cancer yet, but have other health issues. l have Raynauds disease, IBS, high liver count. Had my gall bladder removed. It was gangrenous. Surgeon stated that l had several lesions on my liver. I just recently applied for VA benefits. What kind of percentage of benefits will l get if any?

I am not too sure about that sit. It just depends on if they agree that they are related and then if so, how bad the severity is

I was station in 80-81 3 months now I have apnia arthritis sinusitis dry eyes some rash on my head that won't go away lipoma in my arm back hurts now my left foot hurts now more than the right being waiting for a rating for 6 months probably get denay again.goog lack to you

there are many other military places where PFASs is known and attorney are taking on individual cases. big case many years ago was Fort McClellan Anniston AL, some of the known bases and forts the requirement is that you work or lived there for more than a year in a given period of time. the base i lived on for 3 years 68-71 is known for fire fighting foam flying all over the place and other PFAs. For veterans such as myself with respiratory ailments and cancer the VBA is deferring ratings often even when evidence is there and diagnosis..??? Look on your decision letters and see if there is a sentence affirming TERA.

Inwas stationed at camp.lejunes 60 days in 1984. I found out about this and was told i could get va health coverage. I am now co wred on tier 7, which gives me small cpays to meet, and then the rest is covered for peimary and specialist care. I dont have full blown sympton but i gave some things that came up during somenrwcent exams that i am seeing if they qualify. The va put iut this list but is not taking into account future issues. I have a lesion on my lung, that is. Ery small, and we are keeping an eye on it, but is that enough? Who knows?
