I filmed this with the sony RX 100 MIV in 4k.
This is a camp on camp Pendleton called Camp Margarita. Enjoy.

My husband was with Truck Co Bravo he got out in 2011 a long time ago now but we were lucky to be stationed at camp Pendleton

It sure has changed. I was there in 76 and 77. We had the old concrete open squadbays. I was with India Co, 3/5, Weapons plt.

Used to run up there from the airfield and work out at the gym, and run back for lunch. Where are all the cars?

Lived there from 92-95. That place sure does have a lot of new buildings. I was with HQBN Comm Co.

@@fullmetalkustoms, I’ve heard of WO Korbel. If I remember correctly, he was short, older guy; very easy-going. • I wasn’t in Wire; I was in Radio - Capt Williams’ platoon.

I was there from Jan 86 to Feb 89 with 1stLAV Bn. Looks completely different to me. A lot of new things

@@tonyv2023 oh yes! I remember partying in it one last time in August of 83 the night before we deployed for six months to Oki. When we came back in February the new E-club was up and running.

Looks a lot different than it did in the 80's. Don't remember a baseball diamond and BAQ's are different looking. Wilcox range and pistol range I do remember. Lol

I was there 1962. D-1-5 l was a 0141 clerk & a radio man in the field. I remember Pres Kennedy do the blockade with Cuba,! We all go a lot of shots in arms. Had to pack our field transport packs! We were going to Cuba!!!! But Russia blinked!

Ended up here accidentally taking a wrong turn by the MCAS. I was with 9th Comm Bn at Mainside, so to me this was total BFE.

Alpha 1/5 82-83. This place has changed bigtime! 3/5 had the only BEQ's. Squadbays for the rest of the Regiment. :-)

1:39 ... You filmed that on a Sunday. I can tell because of the size of the flag flying at that moment, and there are three different sizes. From smallest to largest is the Storm Flag, for obvious reasons. The mid-size one is usually flown six days a week unless it’s on a holiday or Sunday. The largest one is, again, flown on holidays and Sundays. • Apart from the Storm Flag, I forgot the names of the other two. I’ve been out for a very long time, but I tried.

2:56 ... Softball field is west of the PT-field and O-Course assembly at the bottom of the hill. My old shop overlooked the PT-field, but I digress.

4:02 ... No freaking way! They have Dental AND Battalion Aid now? In the early ‘90s we had to go to the dental clinic on Mainside to get looked at. Now they have a one-stop for routine medical care AND getting the fangs looked at. Sweet!
