Our first camping trip of the season brings us to Acadia National Park. Enjoy some of the scenes from camp life, some cooking, and of course a taste of the park.

As a long time visitor to Acadia National Park and Blackwoods Campground, your video was exactly what I was looking for to get my Blackwoods fix! Chill mood, down to earth presentation, excellent imagery, and well-matched music. I felt like I was hanging with you at your site. Have been down to that place you walked down to after dinner. We call it "The Rocks". Special spot! Acadia and Mount Desert Island is one of my very favorite places. Excellent idea with the shrimp boil! Will try that when we go to Blackwoods in September! Compliments on your photos, btw!

So glad you enjoyed , its always a tough balance between creating a video and enjoying the moment. Ive been up 6 times already this summer and got another trip next weekend. Gotta say blackwoods is best in may or after peak summer when the crowds are low so you should have a great time. schoodic and seawall have some excellent sites as well if you havent stayed there. Have a great trip!

68 degrees with a breeze....that sounds AMAZING! Probably a pretty good idea to not try to cram that amazing park all in one day. Certainly will be a location to go back to again and again. Love the shot at 4:01, just an incredible view! That seaside location around the 4:15 mark was one of the only parts of the park we got to see on our visit to Maine as much of the park was still closed. I think I'm with Melanie in worrying about bears every single day...smart girl you got there. The shrimp boil looked fantastic. Great video Timothy! Looking forward to more from Acadia on your future visits there!

Haha ya I cant tell you how good I slept until that summer sunrise alarm went off. No bears to worry about had me super relaxed. Its an interesting park you have to get out and explore to really see what it has to offer. We definitely know how to eat at camp. We both have backgrounds in the restaurant industry. Its too bad your visit was stifled by closures. Hopefully youl make it back out here soon

@@timothylabrecque8589 why didn't you have any bears to worry about? Surely, there are some in Acadia?

Its a beautiful park, this time of year it will be busy. I highly recommend downloading the MyStop app and making use of the free shuttle system that the park offers. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed

I really like the gradient shot. That would be an awesome place for some astral! I wonder if the Milky Way intersects near that peninsula?

I wanted to do some night photography but opted to get up at 4 and do sunrise instead. Ive got sites booked for the next 3 weekends so hopefully i can get out for astro at least once. Gradient shot was my favorite too

Why didn't you have to worry about bears?
@timothylabrecque8589 Жыл бұрын
Theres very few bears in the coastal part of acadia , and I was coming from Colorado and Wyoming where we had to be very bear safe all the time. It has been nice to be more relaxed camping by the sea
