i really love rain. it makes me feel cozy and safe? i have seen a number of camping vids and it seems everyone camps in the rain! when i was younger we camped on an island in the atlantic. we pitched our two man tents in what seemed a safe place. that night it rained really hard. i just snuggled deeper in my sleeping bag. suddenly my tent mate yelped and i turned over to see what was wrong. between us was a little creek running through the tent carving out a little river bed in the sand. I told him to calm down and just stay out of the river and move closer to the side of the tent. next morning we awoke and the stream was gone.

Thanks for all the work and skills you put into filming and editing these videos -- it's nice for us to travel along! I especially like seeing the delicious food you prep: what nice meals in a tent! And kudos on your very efficient semi-glamping setup! One minor tip for 22:30 , if to avoid getting drenched by rain water when unrolling the "shutters" --> when first rolling them up, roll them _inwards_ over themselves, so the roll is inside, towards the tent, and when you're done rolling, the top is the flat part. It's a bit harder at first than the "natural" way, but that's how you can avoid creating a pocket for the water to drain into and accumulate, to splash all over you when you unroll it. Happy camping, discovering, and sharing!

You are a better person than I am, setting that tent up in the pouring rain I would have climbed back in the jeep and waited for the rain to slow down or stop. Bravo for you. i see you had nice boots on, are they lightweight? Did you ever try Muck boots, they are very light and comfortable. Your breakfast meal looks delicious, my mouth is watering.

I just found your KZfaq channel and admire your quest for solitude with nature. It's so nice to get away from everything and do what you enjoy. I was begining to wonder about the bugs and how you would deal with them. They can be terrible there, especially the mosquitos. When I was there in the Army back in 86, we didn't have tents like that, just a mosquito net and poncho to make a shelter. Bugs, rain and the cold, but we still found a way to make the best of it. Maybe one day you can visit the States and go offroading and camping here in the mountains of Virginia. I think you would really like it. Keep up the nice videos and the best wishes to you.
