If this was TV, those hook-ups would have been shown to us in the promo's, in the opening sequence and flashed in between every other scene, by the time the actual hook-up happened we'd have been sick of seeing it. As it was, both takes had me more excited and entertained than any TV fishing show I've come across. Quality footage and a genuine atmosphere of not just mates but mates with a common goal, all totally invested in the moment. I fking love it mate, thanks for uploading. Wishing you 'tight lines' from the UK!

Briggsy It's good telling the story like this. You're pretty much following the three-act structure they use in hollywood movies.

Yeah I can appreciate it's a difficult one, on the one hand you want to hook (lol) the viewer in the first couple of minutes to get them to commit to a 40 minute video, but on the other hand, the takes were that much more dramatic because I/ we/ the viewer hadn't already seen them. When you all cast out together my heart was in my mouth so to speak because I know how exciting situations like that are and I didn't know what was going to happen, just like when I'm actually fishing! Careful tailoring your content to please me tho, I'm a fkin weirdo, you might alienate the normies!

a love of technical fishing, those buggers are so hard to land, tried for 20 years on the big Island, nada, just burned up drags & snapped lines due to my shitty knowledge of proper knots & cheap gear to hold those fish...well done, I like that you release them too.
