We have our first camping trip of the season this weekend. I am not a newbie, just binge watching camping videos because I am so excited! Your list is so well put together and gives some great advice for families camping for the first time. And you are exactly right...no camping trip is "perfect" but the memories sure are! Late to the party but we are actually just using the plastic plates from target that are like $.50 a piece for our camp plates and bowls.

Love this video. I'm breathing after seeing this. And I'm breathing now lol. It's my first camping trip with 5 kids. 11,4,5,2 and 5 months. It's going to be interesting for sure. Lol.

I do this tuff semi-professionally as a wilderness guide and instructor. My wife and I are hoping to continue doing this with our new comer…. So we are new-bs at camping with an infant…….your video was super helpful and encouraging. Thank you!

Well done! 4 kids is not easy. I am trying to convince my wife to go camping with the very small caravan. So for us, it is an upgrade :)

You can do it! My husband and I were talking about getting a camper van or pop up camper to make future camping trips easier. Maybe someday!

"listen, we're in our 30s now" girl, same. In my 20's I had no problems sleeping on the cold hard ground. Not anymore! REI sells a really nice queen size air mattress. It's a little pricey but worth it! It's the Kingdom Insulated Air Bed.
