Camping in a Storm ! Will our Tent and VW California Flood. Storm Conditions hit our campsite and we are almost flooded ! Our camping trip in our VW California Campervan continues. The final few days of our trip see us experience some very NON summer holiday conditions. We make th emost of it though and still enjoy our trip.

So Who are Campervan Journey?
We are JT, Harry, Claire, Sam and Ben, oh and Hunny the Dog. We discovered campervanning in 2015 when we bought our first Volkswagen T5 Combo after seeing many at our favourite campsites. We were staying with our tent, and dreaming that one day we would have our own Campervan. After much research, we bought and converted our own T5 Kombi to suit our requirements, check out the video on the channel. We soon discovered that owning a Campervan is a way of life and it is not just about amazing trips round Europe, it’s as much about great days out and family time…
We have been lucky enough to visit some amazing places with our van, many of which we know we wouldn’t have seen if we had not owned it. They instil a sense of adventure and where shall we go into your life.
After 3 years with the T5, we upgraded to a Volkswagen T6 California Beach, our current van, and we continue to enjoy travelling and visiting some amazing places. You can check out our latest videos and adventures here on the channel !

Yes it was! Not sure if the video picked up how windy it was either...fortunately it didnt rain like that all night...otherwise we might have had a problem !

Another great video, thanks for sharing your camping experiences. It is a pity that weather conditions were so bad, it must have been so disappointing, but glad to see you all made the most of the holiday. I noticed your T6 sun awning was being used for cover while it rained, I hope it was possible to get it dry. Because another KZfaqr had a very mouldy awning after it was stored away before it was dry. Maybe consider a decent drive-away awning for future trips, it could provide more flexibility on your travels and you may not need to rely on your 'sun' awning as a rain cover. Im using an outdoor revolution Movelite T2, which I can recommend. Anyway your setup seems perfect, thanks again for all the work in creating and uploading these videos, all very inspiring.

Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it. When we first started our campervan journey we tried a driveaway awning but could not get on with it. That may have been more to do with our lining up and reattaching in a consistent way. I'll check out the Movelite. You are right ref the Sun awning. Another great series of films from your trip. I enjoy watching them for inspiration. We have just come back from Haute Provence where we stayed at Huttopia gorges du Verdon it was great and well worth the long drive.

Feel for you, we had the same three weeks ago in Limoges 6 days of rain a freezing winds. Then on to UK Pooley bridge Lake District 4 days of rain there. Now back in Spain where we live and the heat is unbearable can’t win.

Thanks for the videos, JT. Shame about the weather but seems the whole world has had extreme weather this year. What's happening with the van replacement? Have you considered keeping the T6 and buying a caravan to tow for the extra space?

Thank you for watching another one ! This summer has certainly been a weird one on the weather front. We are Still looking at options to replace the van, I was due to be in Dusseldorf at Caravan Salon, but couldn't get the stars to align this year. We did see a few T6's towing caravans whilst we were away, and I do have a soft spot for a dinky Eriba. Sadly we don't have anywhere to keep a caravan, so I don't think it would work for us at the moment. Cheers JT

Hi JT I went to an Intermarche in Gauchy yesterday for some fuel and I also topped up with Adblue. I think we are getting ripped off in the UK as the Adblue came to £3.38 for 7 litres. Great video as always.

Wow ! That's cheap, best I have found it for here is at Aldi, £15.00 for 10 litres. Thansk for watching and sharing that info. We did fill our AdBlu up from a pump back in February in France, I know it was significantly cheaper but I can't remember the exact cost. Cheers JT
