This Island on the GREAT BARRIER REEF blew our minds from the moment we spotted it in the distance. Theres something really exciting about islands, especially deserted islands in Cape York when you can survive from what the island provides, Fish, Coconuts, maybe a freshwater spring… This episode is just the beginning of what Season 4 is all about, this is the first Island we set foot on and won’t be the last. With a few mackerel caught on the way out and an island interaction with some locals we finally get to our destination and have a big cook up of Asian Crispy Skin Mackerel and its bloody delicious!
The Hammocks we use are Hennessey Hammocks and along with all our camp gear are from www.wildearth.com

Yes mate. Same, islands are so mysterious n isolated. I've kayaked various distances out to various size lumps of land. You feel like the first to find it or some sort of ancient feeling of survival instinct... Bla bla. You know what I mean bud., so exciting, I'm there wiv you...😂👍🏼

I've got the same motor and had the same issue's you are having, the alarm is going of because the back filter housing has a water sensor in it and I ended up replacing the whole piece, also drain the vst tank behind the manifold when you get home buy a new 70 or 90 haha.

Interesting. I’ll check that little tank when I get home. That makes sense. But it did clear the alarm and run fine once we got all that old fuel through the line and ran clean fuel through it again.

Mate rivers and creeks are great but this is a bit of a struggle having a 2nd option like the ocean/ islands. You really need a 115 hp on the back of the ship. I'd love to be able to shout you one but life is a struggle. Magic stuff fellas.

Nat just a thought in your last episode you had a quad problem. Was it the same fuel you had in the outboard which was playing up? Take care where was the coriander in the recipes !! Ha ha.

I didn’t think of that. I put the quad down to water ingress into a sensor but could’ve been water in a fuel sensor.

Long time in the tank or even just from the petrol station. That’s what the water separators are for 👌🏼. We’d recently drained the tank so sucked a lot of crap in from the bottom of the tank.
