Taking a boat up the Dead River. Which is on the edge of the Boundary Waters. camping with a Marine that I served with years ago. Showing him how to set up and use a hammock for the very first time. He will be sleeping in it for three nights in the wilderness. Come join us on our adventure of fishing, and cooking on the open fire. Plus a little hammock know-how

Hello Ron, I’m Tom’s nephew Mark! As a kid I never used to be an outdoor person, I’m 17 now and love being out in nature! Tom gave me a passion for the outdoors and we try to go hiking twice a month. It’s nice to see you teaching him new skills since he is still teaching me. That was a great video you guys put together, can’t wait for part 2! Also, I’m with him all the time, so when I heard that ringtone I knew exactly what was happening. 😂

I think that is so great that you and Tom are hiking buddies. Looks like both you and I are blessed to know him. I will be out there in California this February. Looking forward to hiking with both of you. We will have to tell Tom to leave his cell phone at home so we can enjoy the sounds of nature in the mountains. Thank you Mark for watching. I really appreciate it.

I was always told that carp is an ethnic food and that it is cooked in a pressure cooker like sardines and the bones get soft or dissolve. I’ve never tried any but I’ve seen people line a river bank to catch ‘em!!!! Thanks y’all!!!

HENRY! What a nice looking dog. My thoughts about the pup tent: I like the idea if it but it doesnt work for me. I would rather my dog be next to me than at my feet or head. She would also rather that. In fact she actually wants to be either in the hammock with me or she lays right under me. I dont like her laying under me as I always worry about falling on her. So once she lays on her quilt I usually try to just pull her to the side a little. I also dont like the idea of separate net enclosures. If something goes wrong in the night I may not realize it if she is in a separate enclosure. Depending on where we are I sometimes have a light cord attached to her and around my wrist.

I believe Henry would rather climb in to my hammock with me. But he really dose like his Pup Tent. If it had poles. He would stay inside it. As I am taking everything down. And that would be the last thing I would pack. But where the Pup Tent really shines in when there are biting insects. He has saved him many times.

Dont let the bottom feeder thing worry you too much if that is all you are concerned about. People eat crab, lobster, and catfish too, all bottom feeder. And bacon, from pigs who are also are not the cleanest animal. And beef from livestock yards. Thats dirty meat too and not always fed the healthiest of feed.
