Steve, as I've mentioned before, I'm a former U.S. Marine with combat-related PTSD and am fighting pancreatic cancer. I l have an apartment at an assisted living facility while I undergo treatment. Not able to camp right now, so I decided to put up a tent in my bedroom! Got a sound machine and some "unique " accessories! Pretty damn fun though! A little side note: if your self-esteem suffers, be the youngest guy in a facility like this.🤣🐻⛺🔥🇨🇦🇺🇸

Growing up we had a woodstove insert as our only heat. We had one of those fans. Super awesome. Also, my father would keep a pot of water with a little liquid incense to help re-humidify the house.

Because of your videos, I bought a Goplus 3 man ice fishing shack, a cot and a Mr. Heater Little Buddy propane heater and tested out in my backyard just last weekend. Temps were only in the low 40's Fahrenheit. I'm an amateur so I'm starting out slow and hope to camp out in the woods this winter. Yes no wood stove yet, but I saw plans for building one with an old ammo box that a friend will help with welding it. Just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to try this.

Lasagna looked tasty, I add a bit of finally shredded lemon rind to the burger while cooking it which adds an awesome taste Try sometime , learned that from my kid's Nona , ( Italian grandmother)

We use to have a dog called Two Timer, she had a doghouse with her name on it. We had workmen at the house and they thought it was a message directed at me from my wife so kind of get the chuckle you felt when people thought you where put in the backyard by your wife. The lasagna looked quick and good 👍

I live in the burbs. Bear spray is good for everything besides bears. Loose and aggressive dogs, loose and aggressive coyotes, loose and aggressive people, loose and aggressive zombies. I've had to use the spray on two occasions..

HI, Steve. "Campsite Lasagna"!!! What a wonderful Cooking-Inside-The-Tent-Blowtorch-Method idea. I can only match it with the time I was a Girl Scout Day Camp team monitor (or whatever they called us then) mainly to have some Mom/Daughter time and they put my kid in another group. We were so annoyed because we'd looked forward to our time together so she and I made the decision to change my menu just because! Have you ever cooked chicken and noodles at a campsite? Well, I sorta did....and the Camp leaders were bamboozled. They had to help out by cooking the chicken the night before at the lodge, pulling off all the meat and giving it to us the next day in a large pot of broth. We only added the noodles, bowls, spoons and it was perfect. Lucky, too, that we had individual masonry BBQ pits with stove grates for the noodle cooking. Somewhat like camping in your backyard. Turned out to be a cool way to fix Campsite dinner without all the angst of doing it myself. All the other groups were having hot dogs and exhibited jealousy and crying. My daughter was thrilled with her group's hot dogs, but we were resentful because we wanted to have this shared experience. Now that I think about it, I should have planned fried chicken and angel food cake! Anyhoo, there were no bears to deal with. The leaders were enough. And we had the shared experience of laughing about it every year since then. Love your videos. Take care. :0) Donna B.
