Thank you so much AK! Glad you've been liking the videos 😊 and yes I'll definitely review some other equipment in the future for sure 😊 I'll be publishing tent videos until maybe mid next year, then after that I've got things like camping pillows, lanterns and chairs on my to do list!

I have both of these tents as well. I also don’t sleep on the ground. I sit the small one on the Teton cot and the bigger one on the two Teton cots. (When I am want a guest along) the cots add 5 minutes of set up time and the rain fly is longer that gives you tons of under the cot storage. Thanks for loving ng the Tetons. I love that company. Their service is outstanding as well.

This was a great video but I would add that the Vista 1 is reasonable for weekend backpacking, while the weight of the Vista 2 is a bit much for that. I have the Cabela's Outfitter XXL cot that is same design as the Teton XXL cot plus the Teton XXL pad with the extended rainfly and it's a nice set-up for car camping. I like that I can use the tent, the cot, and the XXL pad all separately or together. They are each good products in their own right, and when used together create a very nice car camping experience.

As a Vista 1 tent owner I can say that folks 6' tall or taller will probably prefer a tent larger than the Vista 1. I'm 5'10" and it is tight

Can you sleep with your pack and boots in there with you ?

@@allen4758 I leave those things outside the tent. There is no vestibule. You could potentially wedge your backpack sideways between the tent and the rainfly if you expect rain. You can find space for your shoes or boots in the tent, or wedge them between the tent and the rainfly. The other thing that makes it less than ideal for backpacking is the length of the tent when it's all folded up. It's too long. It's also a bit on the heavy side for backpacking at more than 4 lbs. If backpacking is your main use, find a better tent. If you mostly car camp and just occasionally do a weekend backpacking trip, this might be fine. That is my intended use case. If you go car camping with the Teton XXL cot, XXL pad, and elite extended rainfly, your stuff can go under the cot. I just went camping on New Year's Day with that setup and it was very cozy. Best night of sleep I've had in a while

@@allen4758 I should add that a small backpack would likely fit in fine with you while you sleep. It depends on your size and how you sleep. In the Teton Sports collection of tents they have a Mountain Ultra tent that looks more suited to backpacking. The weight is about the same but you get a little vestibule and it's only 21" packed length vs 27" for the Vista 1.

@Me and Me RAT Hi there! I'm so sorry about the mask in this video, I used to wear masks in my YT videos because I'm camera-shy and didn't want my face to appear in the videos hahaha. Silly I know, but I've decided to move away from it for all future videos 😊 Hope this clarifies!
