The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has held the 2023 edition of their Annual Distinction Awards at the National Theatre of Ghana on 13th June, 2024.
The Awards is meant to celebrate candidates who excelled in the WASSCE.
The International, which is held for all the candidates from the five (5) West African Countries who are members of the WAEC Examinations (Ghana, Gambia, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone). Ghanaian candidates took all the top-three spots of the international awards which was held in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Local (Ghana) Awards included the Best students in Programmes/Courses including General Science, General Arts, Business and Technical.
Two candidates from St. James Seminary SHS, and one each from Labone SHS, St. Augustine's College, Juaso Senior High Technical School, and St. Monica's SHS won the respective Awards.
