Hi! You did an excellent job filming and presenting Purdue! I can help you out on your fraternity and sorority question. Fraternities and sororities are basically social clubs; fraternities are for men and sororities are for women. You join them at the beginning of the school year during a week called RUSH week. During this week, each fraternity and sorority offers a bunch of activities that show what life is like at each organization. After the week is over, you pick which one you want to join. However, it is very important to research what you need to do to stay in the fraternity or sorority. Some organizations require a certain GPA that you must maintain or that you must attend social functions. If you can do these things, you’ll get a lot more out of joining than just partying. Some organizations offer scholarships when you’re in good standing with them and all fraternities/sororities do A LOT of charity work. If there is room available, you can even live on campus in the sorority/fraternity house. Most importantly, you’ll be able to form good friendships which can provide tremendous help with networking, especially if you and your friends are studying in the same field. I hope this helps! :)
