Is it worth coaching a 4 year old at motocross?
The quick answer is YES!!!
The long answer is because it gives the child more confidence in their riding, it makes them a safer rider with more control of their bike and it gives them more comfort when riding a more technical track to do it with a better body position to cope better with ruts and jumps. Coaching also helps them to pick better lines, how to cope with other riders around you and teaches you great listening skills and overall being able to control your bike to bring it to a stop to speak with the coach or as a group.
Coaching may be pricey, but even just one session has brought Harley on leaps and bounds. He is much more in control of his bike, more confident and as a result safer while also being faster than he was before! If you're a rider, or have a kid that rides, and you're able to, I highly recommend getting yourself or your kid onto at least one coached session.
