they are plagued with durability issues worse than Bauer or CCM, in the Junior A league in my area the league has a deal with SherWood where they have to use their sticks and teams have gone through 100 sticks on average this season and it’s not even December

@@g6CSI don’t think you can have durability issues worse than CCM and Bauer. The fact of the matter is these sticks all get worn down incredibly easily at high levels of competition, but Sherwood is roughly $100 US cheaper for similar performance.

The eK15 and EK365 were amazing. So light just not too durable on the blade.

That’s such a good idea! It’s gonna be hard to find a brand new one in the same spec as a Trigger 7 pro. They both need to be new and exactly the same spec so the review is fair. GREAT IDEA !!! We’ll speak with all of the major brands to try get that idea in play.

@@andersborum9267 Traditional CCM. My 12 year old hasn't had a CCM stick last more than 45 days. Bauers will last significantly longer and are lighter.

Hi, I'd like to jump in here and give you my opinion (random guy from the internet). I think your skates are truly your preference with regards to what fits you better and what feels better on the ice. The only thing I always tell my friends is to make sure they don't buy a skate that is so stiff that they can't get enough ankle flex and it slows them down. Regarding, kick points, flexes and curves it is about selecting what works best for your game. There is a good article from the beer league bum explaining kick points. Last thought, I've played defense for more than 10 years. I started with a 92 flex, mid (or low sometimes) kick point, relatively flat blade (PM9 closed heel curve). Now I use an intermediate 65 flex mid/low (I still don't care that much), P28 (open toe curve). I get more shots to the net faster and with less effort. Stick handling is also easier for me. I don't worry about taking booming slapshots because I don't want to have them blocked or hit players by accident. I want the puck to go where I want it to (this choice has everything to do with how I play my game not on which stick a guy on the internet says I should use). I hope that helps, but yeah I suppose maybe you can get a bit of an edge if you change your skates or stick but I think if you liked them when you were playing forward they would definitely be good enough to play defense in.

@@robm9581 slap shots haven’t come far in terms of velocity, but it’s the quick snap shots and the effortless whip of the sticks, along with the weight. Those are the reasons they make your shot better. That being said, a $400 stick doesn’t make you any better than a 2-$300 stick imo.
