Another strength of Mournghuls and Haunters is that their animations are very speratic and all over the place, making it hard for infantry to hit them, When a Ghul attacks they often do a big bellyflop that lands them in a crowd and where they land troops get staggered and the ones who were close before is now out of reach of the Ghul. Rince and repeat.

Another excellent battle especially for the novel Vampire Coast army build. Certainly not one I have seen or probably ever even think of. Congrats on the win but more for the entertaining battle

Vampire Coast was what really pushed me into the trilogy to begin with. Glad to see some classic Coast builds get results in 2023

Kinda hope one day I don’t really care if it’s in 6 months or if it’s in 3 years time that they do a singular big patch/update and add multiple sync animations either for infantry/monsterous infantry and obviously the large monsters again would be cool since in warhammer 3 there’s just a lack off these animations and idk I’d just think it would be cool if each monster had its own cool sync animations

Still the most creepy monster/hero unit in the game. The mourngul Haunter is just half a torso with its guts and spine dragging behind it.. gross. Extra long mouth so it can fit it's victims inside it more easily. Hats off to whoever came with the design over at CA

Haunters are probably my favorite hero unit in the game. Always fun to use and they are incredible against both infantry and single entities. Only downside is how hard it can be to raise their unit cap in campaign.

Mornguls are still one of the absolute coolest looking units in the whole game. Such terrifying and detailed models.

Maybe the magic weapon canceling aura would work better with the Bull Centaur hero and Astragoth. I believe the Bull Centaur hero has an artifact that gives the magic weapon canceling aura. And Astragoth can get up to 30% physical resist. So Astragoth with a Bull Centaur hero with guardian and the magic weapon canceling artifact can get 45% damage resistance.

Curious, why did the chorf player bring the Skullcracker instead of normal Irondaemons? Afaik, their melee capabilities are the same but the ID has a range weapon. Am I missing something?

A unit of Fireglaives wouldn't be bad in this match up in my opinion, they're resilient to being shut down by large units, and can gun down armored crabs and vamps.

*Blunderbusses. Not Blunderbi. You have the plural form on the unit card. The "i" ending is only used on words appropriated from Latin, ending in "us". Such as Hastatus/Hastati and Triarius/Triarii. "Buss" is an old Germanic word that means gun. It's still extant in for example Swedish, where we have the word "bössa", generally reserved for refering to more primitive guns. /Linguistical rant over.

Mornghul hunter is such an odd hero. Their normal speed is ass, especially when they're trying to flee from melee combat when their animations carry them too deep into the ennemy lines. However their charge speed is so fast, if they begin the animation they can catch up to a lot of things and apply frostbite to it. In short: if you get a good engagement it will mess up whatever its target is, but if you mess up, fleeing is likely not an option😊

Never see them enough in multiplayer so you always forget they have stalk when they do show up on occasion. Might be only one of the 3? monstrous inf that have stalk by default. Sepulchral Stalkers obviously being one.

I really hate how the RoR mournghouls look. They look like the Halo Infinite enemy highlights. I'd have much preferred it if they red tinted skin instead of making them glow red because seeing the normal ones in melee next to the RoR makes them stick out in the worst way. It seems like a similar effect that the spectral units like syreens have, but I think it doesn't work well with red. Imagine if the Shredder of Lustria would just glow neon red.

No bull centaurs, and not a single magma cannon. No other artillery or anti-large either...just. What was the chaos dwarf player anticipating? Mass gun line with cheap zombie mobs, with no crabs, no noctilus, no artillery?

Man I really want Bacheese to get chilling aura like Haunters. Don't think I ever see them in battles unless it's for thematic reasons well Haunters feel way more viable

I really have not seen zhatan do well in any match, even like here, he dropped two abilities on a isolated morngul haunter and ended up taking more damage than he dealt out. His stats just need a flat buff at least, make him a real melee combat lord.

Eh, did not really enjoy this battle, knew VC was going to win after that first play, made watching the rest a bit pointless. Best videos are the ones where the victor could be either side until the very last minute!
