Can A Normal Person Actually Beat An NBA Player?

Every time something doesn't go according to plan or someone plays poorly in the NBA, regular people will come out and say they can make the shot that was missed or even beat the player that didn't perform well. Today we are going to see exactly what happens when regular people think they are better than NBA players.

Those are facts. Sorry if it hurt your feelings. Yes he is bad. How do you dribble a basketball. Once you learn how to dribble and you watch lebron travel and claim he’s so great as a result. If every other possession he’s travelling. He wouldn’t crack the court if actual basketball was being officiated. He’s overrated for sure. I made a post somewhere else that realistically he’s comparable to the kid diddler Karl Malone. But he’s not in the same breath as Mike magic bird Kobe Tim Hakeem. Jj barrea punked him. He stole Carmelo’s rookie of the year stole 3 finals mvps. Drooling over 42 points in the drew leagie while jacking up 36 shots lmao go take a cold shower if that impresses you

I love it how the 'I'm closer to LeBron' line sounds like bragging but it's the most accurate a sports take can be. Sure, LeBron can beat an NBA bench journeyman 11-0 just like that guy can beat a regular person 11-0, but he would need to put in 10 times more effort than the journeyman needs to against his opponent

I think the important detail left out of the clips and to emphasize the point even more, it was evident none of the NBA players in the clips played more than maybe 20% of their capability. Some even went about 10% only.. while the non-NBAers likely went 80% and up hard.. Lastly, and I'm not crapping on WNBA players but it was evident she literally went hard and the D2 player maybe went 50%. Plus he was clearly out of shape and not in his playing days, and as the narrator already stated he didn't defend the 3 at all and he didn't take advantage of his man strength in order to avoid the unfair advantage. The conclusion is, an NBA 15th man can beat a very good basketball pickup player or KZfaqr going only 10% hard...

Yeah they were switching after each possession. They never mentioned in the original video why they kept swapping. Going to take a wild guess and say the guy preferred a men's ball while the girl preferred a woman's ball. OR the girl thought it was unfair cause they don't use men's. I'm not sure.

Women sports only justification is equality and same chances, I am not delusional, I couldn't beat any women top athlete in any sports right now, but the fact an average Joe with some proper training (let's say 3 - 6 months), would have a chance (not beating them, just a chance) to give them a run for their money is just a real funny concept to me, because they sacrificed their whole life to that sport and wait here comes Jared who plays that sport for a hobby, but trained for the last 3 months and goes toe to toe with the best of the best. You could find men at Venice Beach that would be MVPs in the WNBA, but none of them could even make the roster of an albanian league team.

Well, still team US was not able to bring the gold home against teams that were supposed to be "worse"... I agree on the fact that in the NBA you can see the best athletes in the sport but I would also compare the NBA to the game of checkers where the Euro League is the chess. NBA games are boring as hell with 0 defence, everybody shooting 3s, nobody contesting penetration to the rim because the rule changed in favour of the offense. I bet that soon the NBA will introduce a rule in which you are not allowed to double team and you need to stay away from the ball handler at least 7 feet so they can shoot uncontested 3s more easily... and the avarage NBA fan goes wiiiiild!!!

@@SweatbandSports it was not that bad of a team either. Same as in 2019, the roster was packed with talents, still...Lost, in 2020? Lost again and the roster was packed once again with the cream of the crop. As Kerr very cleverly said: "this ain't '92 no more" the gap between the "God of Olympus" and we, the poor peasent, as been reduced significantly. In order to win internationally team US needs to become humble and needs to start train hard because European basketball is no joke. In Europe each game counts, the defense is tough, you don't see so many dunks and each game for a team requires a different strategy. Scalabrini was not so shitty as player, but as you cleverly put it in the video, ppl check the stats and that's it "3.1 pti per game, naaah he sucks".
