Can-Am Maverick R on The Maze at Sand Hollow, Utah

5 ай бұрынIf you’ve never been to Southern Utah to off-road, put it on your bucket list! Sand Hollow State Park is located near Hurricane, Utah and just south of the state park and reservoir resides the BLM-managed Sand Mountain. Sand Mountain provides access for off-highway vehicles (OHV) to its 16,000 acres of canyons, ravines, sand dunes, and buttes. The area is known for its’ mild to wild rock crawling trails (this one is called The Maze), but you can also explore trails that can take you off-road all the way to the north rim of the Grand Canyon!
Sand Hollow is also home to several off-road events including UTV Takeover, SXS Adventure Rally and Trail Hero.
We are driving a 2024 Can-Am Maverick R with 7-speed DCT transmission and 35-inch High Lifter Chicane STX tires.

I think the arms look awesome from that GoPro angle honestly. Cool to watch them work. Was supposed to do a trip to hurricane in march but the x3 I had lined up fell through. Finally found Mav R xrs non SS in stock on east coast, picking up this week. So excited! Might just have to just drive it out.

Better than the X3 crawling stuff like this? Power delivery looks pretty nice, I hear you have to run it in manual and keep it in first so it doesn't shift on you with higher rpm/ mph.

Low range should be lower on the Maverick R - no reason you should be able to do 60MPH in low. Prefer the low range on the X3 for technical rock crawling, but the Maverick R can do it all once you get used to it.

With the tire rack and spare that high up do you notice extra roll in the off camber stuff vs without it on there?

New Chicane STX by High Lifter / STI. Wheel is pretty close to stock
