Our local shops are quoting 6-8 weeks just to look at a machine right now and thats for warranty work! Paid work is even longer. Love that you did everything you could to make him happy. Your attention to detail alone is worth the wait in my opinion!

My brute force was at the shop for 13 months for a fuel pump and electric fan! That was frustrating, I could live with two months lol. Love your videos man appreciate it.

I have people bring me their atvs that have been at a dealership for 6 months for basic maintenance. So they are real happy with saving money and getting it fixed in 60 days . So I would tell them they are welcome to take it to the dealership. I also have a full time job so I let them know up front it might take a while. So don’t sweat it.

While it may have been there 8 weeks- half the time was waiting on parts and unfortunately you cant make anyone happy. People will respect that you didnt make any excuses or anything- i would think that most of your customers watch your videos and can appreciate the honesty that you show in your videos. Absolutely can not wait for the grizzly 600 video. I just finished a long term grizzly 660 rebuild today and pulled my next project in the garage- a 01 600 that i bought new- just needs some maintenance wear items. Thanks rock!

Yes half the time was waiting on parts but I get the frustration. Awesome you got the 660 done! How’s the 600 treated you over the years?
@Pjw350
@Pjw350 4 ай бұрын
@@rockspowersports the 600 has been bulletproof- been our plow machine forever. Really nothing has broken. Have had to clean the carb once- other then maintenance- havent had to do anything. Getting a small amount of smoke at start up but it goes away. May try to adjust valves, new belt, the rear brakes need lube- very similar to the honda video you just made.
@rockspowersports

@Pjw350 Thats great to hear that it’s treated you well! If she’s blue smoking on start up, the valve seals might be leaking. They tend to dry up on these older machines.
@Pjw350
@Pjw350 4 ай бұрын
@@rockspowersports valve seals is what i was thinking but I dont think that its even worth messing with until it gets bad. Really doesnt use oil. Besides that I havent had to really replace anything but the tires.

Thats actually a really common issue with that style of Speedometer. Typically not long after the speed starts messing up the gauge will go completely blank. Had it happen on my 2018 outlander 850 xt last year.

Things happen, parts are always on back order these days and it seems shipping services has never been slower lately here in Ontario! Only reason I’d be mad is you riding my bike so much lol, I get testing them but man you really take them for a ride! Either way definitely happy I found this channel

Sounds to me like the owner ought to be thankful someone like you is available to work on that stuff. You could have told him to take it to the dealer where he would most certainly have paid double for the repairs. Just my opinion.

I have a question about the tracks, If it stops running when you are out the woods, are you able to tow/roll with the tracks to get it out?
@rockspowersports

It is rollable however obviously it would be a little harder to pull due to the extra weight and rolling resistance.

I mean yes, it's a bit late but giving the parts at cost? Come on....the owner of this thing sounds like a whiney baby if he's that angry. You have to make a couple bucks for your time ordering it, picking it up etc. I say fix that issue and drop him as a customer. He could have easily taken the machine, use it until you had a chance to install that part (it was still operational) and went on his way. I wouldn't deal with this guy next time. Parts get backed up - so what. It's business, not a favor. The next place he goes and finds out its a 3 week wait just to look at it, I bet his tone will change.
