I did this at the same time that I did he parking brake lock. Fairly easy mod to do and it gives you a pretty neat little anti-theft system. I also use a disc lock for an added level of security.

Now how about a mod to secure the front trunk? Would be nice to use the locking mechanism that is factory installed.

Yes sir Mike.. perfect timing. We're actually doing that video as i type this. We have a hidden cable system called the "duo" lock that locks the glove box / frunk when you enable the parking brake lever and uses the factory locking mechanism.

This is great now my only question is does that mean a lever will stay down when riding? Cuz we all know that the plastic lever pops up when you're riding down the highway .

Hey DJ.. that was another reason we wanted to do this and why we used billet. The extra weight keeps the lever in place.

Slingmods, I just replaced the billet parking brake and added the key lock. I don’t think something is right with the lock. It is very hard to turn. Tips?

Is it normal to have to push the lever a bit so the lock will engage ?

Hello Waylon, not on our two Rykers.. but it's a tight fit with the lock pin. I could see potentially having to slightly adjust the handle to get the lock pin to engage.
